Broadcasted regularly during adbreaks on all international Vidchannels, your screen goes white.
A young man steps on screen, wearing a business suit, tidy hair and a bemused smile. He seems to be looking directly at you as he opens his mouth.
"Allow me to take a minute or two of your time, if you wouldn't mind, to ask you a few questions. Shall we begin? Alright then.
Are you a transport employee of Universal Shipping?
What about Deep Space Engineering?
Maybe Ageira Technologies?
If you are, you're welcome to change the channel. If not... Maybe you should listen in."
A nondescript white box materialises on a stand next to the man, and he places his hand on it, still looking at you.
"Do you know what this is? Well, yes you're right, it's a white box.
Do you know what's inside?
Even I don't.
Less than 1% of Sirius will ever get to know what's inside of this boring looking box.
But I do know, and what I can tell you, is that this box contains key elements of technology that allows the amazing GateLane Network to run.
Without the contents of this box, travel within Sirius would be at a snails pace."
He looks at the box almost fondly, running his hand along the top of it before looking back at the camera.
"My name is Andrew Kamberg. I'm an employee of Ageira Technologies, and that's the only reason I'm even able to touch this box."
The box disappears and Andrew clasps his hands behind his back.
"These white boxes contain the property of Ageira Technologies, and given it's high importance, all four houses of Sirius have declared it Illegal to be transported by anyone other than it's creators.
That is, Ageira Technologies.
Now, we have certain contractors who help us move them about, Universal Shipping and DSE both have contracts to do so. There are a small mount of other companies that also have contracts.
We come to the point of our time here.
Allow me to ask you one more question... Do you have a contract to move GateLane Parts with Ageira Technologies? If the answer is no, and you are in possession of them, then you are a criminal.
You are a criminal that by International Law, can be imprisoned for an indefinite time, and your ship impounded.
So please, for your own sake, ask yourself the question before taking on any cargo.
Do I have a contract to move this?"
Andrew walks off screen as it fades to black, disclaimer text showing. A deep voice begins speaking rather quickly.
"Authorised by S. Drake, President, Ageira Technologies. Broadcasted with permission from the Sirius News Network and the International Broadcasting Committee. Contracts may be entered with Ageira Technologies by addressing a Neural Net communication to the Ageira Technologies Licensing Branch."

Greetings,
I was informed about your latest broadcast, so I asked my secretary to inform me about it's content.
Surprisingly, in your message you clearly state that you have a contract with Universal Shipping Incorporated regarding the transportation of Gate/Lane Parts. As far as I know, USI does not have such a contract with Ageira Technologies and in the past there was an issue with 3 Universal Shipping transports which were hauling Gate/Trade Lane Parts. Therefore, I would like to request an answer from your Legal Departnent.
No need for the legal department, I'm afraid this is a simple... misprint.
You see, this broadcast was recorded early last year, but was put in the archives to be used at a later date due to a shift in the financing for department responsible. We only dusted it off recently due to the slight increase in Part Theft.
It seems, however, that our editing team that looked over it not long ago to be aired, missed the references to Universal, which as I'm sure you know at the time was still under contract.
I will admit that I, myself, looked over it, and didn't find anything wrong.
Luckily I'm not an editor... And now they aren't either.
My apologies for the confusion this has caused you, your employees or your company, but I can assure you that had this actually changed, Universal would have been contacted via proper channels.
Simply a misunderstanding, and a mistake on our part.
Sincerely,
Andrew Kamberg

Is it late there, or has Kusari actually changed their policies on Commodity Control without notifying anyone?

Mr. Kamberg,
The only law in Kusari is the Kusari Legal Codex. Gate and tradelane parts are not restricted by the Legal Codex, which means they are not restricted in Kusari. Whatever document you are pointing to is not official, nor the policy of the Kusari government. Any Ageira ship attempting to enforce this so called law in Kusari will face criminal penalties.
Well, Mr Kambeg, is it late there? Or did you never check the status of the product in Kusari before making your broad, self serving advert? Do your fact checking, and maybe next time you say something, you wont be shown to be an ignorant.... when it comes to Kusari law.
It is hard to keep track of laws that endeavor to change themselves without notifying anyone, as I'm sure you understand.
However, given that it appears the Imperial Office of Kusari wishes to undermine the security and operations of Ageira at every turn, I can assure you that you will receive no reports of Ageira enforcing this law within Kusari.
But I must ask, have you received any before?
We've been doing this for months, if not years, and only now when we spell it out in black and white you take actions?
I don't mean to puff the LSF's chest, as they quite surely don't need it, but perhaps you should look into the competency of your intelligence agencies.
Sincerely,
Andrew Kamberg
