Greetings,
I am Doctor Samantha Ross of the Pryce Institute , a small multi-field research concern, operating primarily out of Liberty and Bretonian space. After making several inquires, I was able to determine to which organization this communication should be directed. Allow me to add that those I spoke with, spoke quite well of your company, something I have good reason to do myself.
A day ago, one of our research vessels, a modified transport of the "DL" borderworld series, was attacked somewhat off of Planet Los Angeles, after a disruption of the trade lane to Planet Mojave. The attack had apparently been directed specifically towards that vessel, for reasons that remain uncertain, pending further investigation. At the time of the lane disruption and attack, the vessels hold was nearly three fourths empty, the remainder small amounts of various materials used by our organization, much of which is of little value to those outside technical fields.
The Outcast ship, I am told it is called a "Sabre", and his cohort, had been gradually increasing the severity of their threats toward our vessel, without any apparent demands, and it had become obvious to the transport captain and crew that the Outcast intended destrution of the ship regardless.
By apparent happenstance, a member of your company arrived at the point in the lane. The Outcast, who was suffice it to say "displeased" with the interruption in his intent to murder, gave warning to the EDGE| employee, whom to our considerable gratitude, elected to stay by our side. Shortly after, the Outcast, now perhaps having to deal with something other than a lightly armed transport, lost patience in his game, and ordered his cohort to open fire on our transport, as he followed suit. While indeed, there was considerable damage, our Captain was able to just barely make it to Los Angeles. We noted there was considerable activity in the ships wake, as a third criminal arrived to attack your employee. We are uncertain to what degree your operative engaged, but we do attribute the survival of our vessels' crew directly to his arrival and presence.
The two primary reasons I have initiated this message, is first, to express the deepest thanks and eternal gratitude for the efforts of your operative, for saving the lives of many wonderful people, to say nothing of my own life.
Of the greatest importance to myself and the others here, is to inquire as to the fate of the pilot who helped us. The forces arrayed against him appeared significant, and I truly hope he survived the encounter. I am told the transponder identification of the vessel was " EDGE|Raiden "
Please communicate to us the status of the pilot, and what, if any, damages were incurred, either to your firm or the pilots personnel property.
I am pleased to hear that the crew is all right and in one piece, i hope your ship will be repaired soon and ready to fly again. It's always a pleasure to hear words of gratitude from people whom our Enterprise managed to protect from criminals, be it directly as in this case, or indirectly through hunting the pirates in their zones of operation. Rest assured we will continue to do so, and hopefully one day the honest working men and women of Sirius will begin to notice more and more, that there are people out there, who relentlessly fight for their safety everyday.
With regards, Walter Sobchak, Executor
Pilot of the "Raiden"
