busy weekend, went in to check my characters progress this morning, and saw this news item...
Pictures are hard to get unless your right next to a ship, their buttons displaying their ships just doesn't work.
couldn't play much, ping was way up there this weekend. I played a lot of SP

The Interstellar Correspondents have investigated reports of a major fleet engagement involving a Titan class starship belonging to Evolution of the Band of Brothers alliance along with over 800 (Players) other ships in the system 49-U6U, the sovereignty of which is held by Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate.
The Doomsday weapon on the Avatar, piloted by Shrike, was fired three times over the course of a conflict that saw Band of Brothers heavily out gunned, Coalition rivalries break out in fighting, the destruction of many hundreds of star ships and what is believed to be an unexplained solar event.
Events started when a fleet belonging to Band of Brothers was spotted in the region and became engaged in the systems surrounding 49-U6U including 4-07MU and 25S-6P.
Further investigations pending.
here is an update to events on EVE this weekend.
my character is working out the last step for Industrial training level 1, then I can start flying the bigger transports. Which I've all ready bought, but can't fly until I finish the training.
this is going from a frigate with a cargo capacity of 320 to a Iterion transport with 5000 cargo capacity
I've got pictures.....just got to up load em.

The Titan jumped into 49-U6U and fired its doomsday weapon at the 4-07MU star gate, "killing maybe 20 to 30" according to VileLust who spoke to us on behalf of the alliance Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate. Following this, a single Heavy Interdictor managed to tackle the Titan, keeping it pinned to the star gate.
Word was sent to the Coalition forces that the ship was held in the system and ships from the entire of the southern universe started heading towards the action. EmpO3 of Quantum Industries, a member of Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate, commented "The order I gave was to bubble and point Shrike with Heavy Interdictors, while targeting Band of Brothers in this order; support, fighters, capitals, Shrike. The Band of Brothers fleet was starting to take heavy losses and we were clearly going to win the battle, especially as there were more GoonSwarm, Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate, Red Alliance, Against ALL Authorities, Knights Of the Southerncross, Imperial Republic Of the North and other blue forces moving into system".
A representative of Band of Brothers High Command stated "For 3 hours and 30 minutes Shrike was pinned down on the gate. Several unconventional alliances where made at that point, like Mercenary Coalition showing up fully blue with their 'arch enemies' such as GoonFleet, Against ALL Authorities and Red Alliance". The Titan's Doomsday device was fired twice more during the battle, while numbers eventually reached over 800 ships with Band of Brothers outnumbered at approximately 1:9.
As more ships were preparing to join the assault, what is believed to be an unexplained solar event occurred that instantly caused all ships in the system to suffer an electrical malfunction, resulting in them disengaging and leaving the battlefield. Some ships, including Shrike's Avatar did not return, putting an end to the bulk of the fighting.
As soon as other ships had returned however, differences between members of the Coalition turned hostile when fire was exchanged with members of Knights Of the Southerncross. VileLust stated "As a direct result of issues after the fight, IAC set KoS alliance red, and removed them from the system". This was apparently due to "failure to follow rules of engagement in our space". When asked to comment, shnooker, CEO of Hounds Of War, part of Knights Of the Southerncross, said "Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate hunted me down ... and podded me while they were blue". He furthered this, saying that they were attacked "in order to damper the loss of the Band of Brothers' Titan".
Both the Band of Brothers and Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate representatives agreed that the fighting that occurred here is unlikely to change the state of play in the region; how this conflict will pan out remains to be seen.!
doing a bit of research, just buying the skill to train to learn to fly a titan, only costs 4.5 billion, couldn't find how long it took, many skills I've been doing takes up to two weeks to complete, that just to fly transports, cruisers, etc.

The Titans
In the Amarr tongue, their name is Imud Hubrau, or "Beast of Heaven". To the Gallente, they are known as Soltueurs, or "Sun Slayers". The collective name for these behemoths is Titans, the largest spacefaring vessels ever constructed. The sheer cost in resources, manpower and time, as well as the necessary technological knowledge, makes construction of a Titan-class vessel a venture only empires can usually fathom. Some of these mammoth vessels have taken decades to assemble. Many are over a century old themselves, and the three mammoth Jovian motherships, the first Titans, have origins pre-dating modern space travel. They are maintained with constant upgrades, and at any given time, one of the three is out of commission while undergoing retrofits.
Their value is indescribable. Functioning for those who own them as a mobile base of operations as well as a flagship, Titans turn the tides of war with their mere presence. Aside from their blistering armament and many-metres-thick armour, they boast the ability to transport entire fleets within their hulks across entire star systems. Their mind-boggling mass can cause small ships to become trapped in the gravity bow-wave before them. A few of these vessels are massive enough that their presence affects planetary tidal patterns. One notable incident occurred on the small agricultural world of Goral, where a Gallente Titan moving into orbit caused an abrupt shift in tides, which flooded crop fields and farmland. The decrease in food production meant that the entire system, which depended on Goral for food stock, had to be supplied by merchants or face starvation. Since then, Titan navigation systems have been programmed with fail-safes to prevent them from approaching a planet so closely.
The construction of a Titan has, in recent years, become an option available to more than just the richest of empires. With the advent of exploration, new resource-rich worlds have been discovered. For the construction of an Amarr corporations newest fleet addition, a lush, tropical moon was decided as a prime source for resource extraction. After decades of aggressive strip-mining, the moon's surface had been mostly torn away. At the cost of tens of thousands of Minmatar slave lives, the Titan was complete, leaving the moon a devastated, tectonically unstable hell.

Get to Gallente Industrial III (Won't take more than 1 week tops) and you can grab an Iteron MkIII. Equip it with 3 Cargo Expander IIs (Tech II) if you can afford it, or three of the Tech 1 (named modules preferred) expanders. This'll get you 11,000 cargo, 10,000 if you don't have the Tech 2 expanders. I have the three Tech II expanders, as well as 750,000 skill points in industry, so I have about 12,450 cargo.

The Titan skill doesn't cost much.. The Titan does. Its somewhere around 20 billion ISK worth of minerals at the lowest, and can only be built at capital shipyards. I'd say somewhere aroun 35-40 billion ISK to pay an alliance to build it for you. THAT is expensive.. Plus it takes a character around 2-3 years of skill training to do with, and thats with good implants and learning skills, and their best attributes being perception and intelligence.
