MISAKA shut her eyes deliberately, freeing her mind of the spell the sign had put her under. When she opened them, she turned to face Nero, her blank stare bordering on that of determination. She reached past him and locked the door to the ship, assuming he could open it again if need be, and grabbed his hand in a tight grip, pulling him behind her in a manner not unlike on Rochester.
Upon reaching the edge of the landing pad, it became evident that it would not suffice as a mode of movement, given the stares they received from the early risers on their way to work. She slowed down and let Nero walk next to her, her grip still not loosening on his hand.
For an hour, they wandered, seemingly aimlessly, until they finally reached a large plaza, where MISAKA doggedly kept her eyes lowered, almost afraid to look up to what she knew was on the other side. She found a bench and sat on it with her knees tucked under her chin, staring at the ground in front of her. Nero's expected questioning came swiftly, and finding nothing on the ground, he traced her view across the ground to the other side of the plaza.
Completely dominating the plaza and the surrounding buildings, a monolithic structure rose from the ground to a mighty height, the top of which making Nero somewhat dizzy. A huge, armed droid roamed the far side of the plaza, bristling with weaponry and making the ground shudder with every footstep. The front doors, similarly guarded, were massive slabs of some unidentifiable metal, opening only after entrants completed some sort of security check. Above the doors, the reason for such high security was evident. Emblazoned on the side of the building, perhaps in a rare metal of some sort, a logo in the shape of a Jump Gate was present, the word 'AGEIRA' occupying it's centre.
This was enemy territory as much as was almost possible for a Lane Hacker.
It also appeared to be the reason they had come to Los Angeles.
Nero simply chuckled as he was once again pulled around. It was an interesting sight, but one he found somewhat cute, and it wasn't as if he could stop her either. It was simply part of her 'interesting' way of doing things. Although that didn't mean he wasn't thankful when she slowed down. There was something more natural when he was walking with her, and he almost didn't notice as his hand subconsciously went out to hold hers as they strolled, his internal compass pointing in all directions at once. He certainly wasn't the pilot anymore.
Once he had found what she was looking at, or rather, explicitly not looking at, Nero let out a steady sigh. He had a feeling since they landed that Ageira was playing an awfully major part in this mystery of hers, and it was no surprise when he looked back in retrospect. Nero knelt down in front of his odd companion with a gentle smile as he looked up at her. "Hey, You alright? I know it might be painful to remember, but were the men in white coats from Ageira? From this building of Ageira?" Nero wasn't even sure how they'd get past the front gate, let alone to some mysterious lab that most likely wasn't even here. But, he couldn't say for certain, and so he wouldn't say at all. All he could do was sit beside her and wrap an arm around her shoulder as he whispered.
"I promise, nothing like that will ever happen to you again..."
