Well that part was from the trailer to one of the Halo games which I saw on utube (I never played one of those myself, I just know it from red vs blue)
The name Fiasco is also the rip off of the name of a book by Stanisav Lem (used to be my fav scifi author), as is the theme of the RP story. The book by Lem is about humanity's collosal fail in its first encounter with an intelligent alien species. The book revolves about human inaptitude to cope with the un natural environment in space, and inaptitude to understand anything that it is not familiar with (human intelligence and progress is actually based a lot on trial and error, like evolution, and very little on real "intelligence" at all.) Lem is also kind of a guru philosopher on cyberbetics (cybernetics meaning "controling" in engineering, nothing to do with the "cyber" often associated with interent sutff), which I studied for 2 years. The main characer of the book is not really a hero... he is the guy in a position where he should and could be a hero, but he fails in a disastrous way (2 times). I thought it was nice change from the average scifi literature.

The name Vasquez is from the second part of hte Alien films. I intend to continue the story sooner or later, and to rip off more stuff then.
And it is rumored that the last words of Goethe ( german writer/poet) were "more light" (thats where I got the idea that the nomads ue mind tricks with darkness to get the humans to kill each other), when things got dark aroudn him while he was dying.
And the first name "Simon" means "the seer" in hebrew (I think, at least I heard that somehwere). SImon Goethe is actually not a huge coward like Miguela thought, but has the ability to see the future, and what he sees scares him (cause he foresaw his own death, and that it would be better to head back to base now, and he was scared of miguela cause he could feel that she would kill him one day). That Simon the Seer part is ripped off from the book "Lord of the Flies" by some british bloke, were you dont really notice it unless you read the book twice. Simon also gets whacked and foresees hish deathin the other book.
I wanted to expland a bit on those two parts, maybe I'll re-write the story a bit to make it more clear, or make same some flashbacks were Goethe is still alive so it can be guessed.
Actually, I like how do you ripped everything. Someone will tell "Stfu! This is not original blah blah blah!". But if you want to rip story perfectly, you must have talent and knowledge for that. I like it. Keep it up.
