Personally i have gotten too terms that WOW is like social maelstrom
is sucks people in and doesnt let go of them without alot of persuasion from those that arnt in it.
Im also totally oblivious too what ever the ****ing hell people want too waste their money and time on aslong as it doesnt interfere with education.
HOWEVER what i simply cant stand is watching a ****ing 7 year old skip school too play that stupid game just because his moronic parents play it too (yes its someone i know).
In simple people that lack the self control too stop playing the game are
degenerateing and in a few years when the '' next'' expansion comes out we will have even more degenerates.
A solution would be too immensely tax both the players and the blizzard company too balance out the amount of losers that waste their lives on the game.
I play wow its fun but its not my life. People can get addicted to any game but right now WOW is the is the king so everyone jumps all over it. EQ was the same way, thats why they called it evercrack. In the end its just a game and if someone can't walk away from it thats their fault not the games.
Lol one of the programmers of EverQuest is my tutor. It's so funny. He doesn't talk about it but I asked him about it one time. He doesn't really play games actually but his friends do.

I used to play WoW a lot, but I just became sick of the constant balance issues and quick-fixes from the developers.
Example, class A becomes "overpowered" according to forum whiners.
Developers nerf class A to the ground during next patch.
Whiners find another class to whine about...
A constant and vicious cycle. Another thing: practically 95% of the WoW populations are idiots who WANT to cause pain to other people. Ask a genuine question, you get flamed so much and told off for not being good enough.
Plus, it costed $17 a month for me, which is too much considering Freelancer is free.
I have a rather bad habit, the more hyped a game is the longer it takes me to get around to even trying it... With WoW I've decided that hell freezing over will be a good time to try it.
I've read a few news items on it, saw one movie on youtube that was supposedly funny but I found it moronic, never watched someone else play, haven't seen any ingame clips/screenshots.
Meh. I tried it. Seemed.. alright. Nothing special. Not something worth paying $17 a month for, in my opinion. There's games out there that are free and better than it (:secret:Freelancer, anyone?).
I used to play Everquest in High School. Some of the best times ever, all my friends were in a guild. Also /signed for everything Treewyrm said, it is a mirror, really. And Sayne is also correct in a rather crude way. I was lucky that my friends and I only played casually, and that they are still my geeky dweeby friends.
I play EQ on a free emulated server these days, this one kid came on OOC one day and started to complain that we're stealing all the lingo and stuff from WoW. I almost fell out of my chair. So, to justify all my ramblings about EQ and not WoW, I'd say hate, but I wouldn't worry about the roleplaying scene. Most people don't look that far down the MMORPG line of letters.
"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."
One thing I like from WoW is night elves because they are beautiful, and one of my favorite "custom style" elves race around.
Otherwise... forget about WoW for me.
