Quote:Pilot carrying this ID is a Hogosha, who :

  • Can demand credits or cargo from non-Samura traders and unallied smugglers or factions
  • Can fulfill bounty contracts
  • Can trade and only escort Hogosha artifact smugglers
  • Can lawfully transport Artifacts within Kusari
  • Can engage pirates, terrorists, Junkers and lawfuls within their Zone of Influence
  • Cannot ally with any lawfuls except with KNF, KSP and Samura
  • Cannot attack Samura, KNF or KSP ships,
  • Cannot use any transports with more than 4,300 cargo.
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports

Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime. Transporting Artifacts is not sanctionable if your ID does not say you can lawfully do so. It just means that there may be in-character consequences if you are not lawfully allowed.

Personally I would like to see the line "Cannot attack Samura" removed from the ID and left as a purely InRP consequence.
The Hogosha may attack Kishiro, but don't due to the reaction they will receive within Kusari, I think the same should be said about Samura.
Discuss.

There was a complaint because your signature violated forum rule 1. Specifically:

So it's been removed.

Similar reason as to BD not being able to attack GMG. Even an indie shouldn't as it's considered OORP for good reason; GMG is the financial backers of the BD fleet. I believe Samura has a similar arrangement with their unlawful friends.

Samura's backing is more true for the FA than for the Hogosha. The Hogosha is kind of like the brother to Samura and less the same entity. Though they agree on almost everything, sometimes they quarrel. I can see a Hogosha punishing a less informed Samura pilot for an insult or something of the sort. It honestly couldn't hurt.

Indeed, if Samura want something done by the Hogosha, we approach them as one corporation to the other.
They may work for Samura on individual contracts but are not permantly on Samura's books.

Perfect example would be to ask them to attack Kishiro shipping.
For the Farmers Alliance this is easy, we throw some cash around, remind them of how Kishiro let the Gaijin in and before you know it, dead Kishiro.
Try this with the Hogosha and you may as well be talking to a brick wall.
They will not attack Kusari shipping for us as the fallout is not something they wish to deal with.
We can ask them to attack foreign shipping for us, but so can Kishiro.

So yes Samura does have a close relationship with the Hogosha, but so does Kishiro.
Maybe not as much as Samura does, but not that much less either.
And I do not believe enough to make a difference on their ID.

Perhaps Ryoken, you could learn from this, that not everything people say is as self interested as you think it is...

I think the Farmers Alliance are the Samura Lapdogs, the Hogosha being more independend would not always spare a good opportunity, no need to forbid them a hit on a samura or kishiro ship.
Its enough they do not hit the police, but a well filled purse should be good enough for the greedy gangster.

//and to not beat about the bush, it would give the hogosha players a chance to shoot all those Interspace IFFed Colossus Trains with Samura ID, who only carry them for not to be shot by hogoshas.

oops, sorry, yeah it is AFA that is directly tied to Samura and the Hogs are the quasi lawful patriots of Kusari. Got mixed a tiny bit there :$

After reading the manual I'm back on track :D
