Hi everyone, it's been a very long time since my last visit here and I have small question:)
First of all - if this kind of topic is somewhat forbidden on this forum - then I apologize.
I've visited ModDB today and found some mods that adds new missions after campaign plot, also there are many other mods that add better visual effects and improved gameplay features. Damn, it's been REALLY long time...
That's why I've created this topic. Since Discovery is probably the most populated and well-informed community I would like to ask about something:
In your opinion, which single-player mods are actually most interesting right now? I mean mainly mods that add new content and missions after main plot or mods that improve vanilla content or just adds some more 'work' in SP. Which mods in your opinion are best?
I know this question could be a bit stupid (cuz there are tons of mods out there that could fit me) but there's so many options and lot's of new, awesome mods and I just don't know which ones I should try:P
Any help, information and advices would be very appreciated. I've just want to play my favorite game once again and not get bored right after completing last SP mission :S
I wanna feel once again pure awesomeness of FL like it was on first contact in 2003, heh.
Frontierspace Open SP is fun, their universe is huge and its like discovery except doesnt have very many custom infocards for the planets, it has descriptive commodities.
Quote:People say Crossfire is cool. I wanted to try it out myself too actually. So there ya go.
I tried it on Open SP and it was fun, after the first time I uninstalled it and I decided not very long ago to try it again, reinstalling all of it yada yada and I ended up with graphical errors:(
Otherwise its a fun mod, very purty graphics and bloom effects, although the capital ships fly just like fighters do...
88Flak, Crossfire, Plasmafire, Itano Circus amongst many others have open SP and Crossfire even has a custom campaign. Have a dig through Freelancer's moddb database and you're bound to find more than enough mods to keep you occupied.
I'd try some of them myself, but I'm too afraid of ruining my pristine installation.
