GMG and their stance towards...

So, I've been wondering about this for quite some time now.

Look at the title.
How's GMG's stance on the Kusari - Bretonia war, how is their reputation with the BD or GC and what do they think about Rheinland at the moment?

Those are some of the questions I had in mind.
Also, how will their influence in Kusari change with .86?

I'd prefer it, if officials who know about this would post here, rather than just those who,
like myself, just guess what's going to happen, while not really being sure about it.

First I'd like to mention that we all have to wait like everyone else about how 4.86 will unfold. We don't get backstage passes, only the devs know what's coming.

I can provide some answers to your question though.

GMG does not take sides in any of the wars. It takes the H-fuel business very seriously. Many many planets and stations are in regular need of essentials like water, oxygen and food. The fuel is needed to get such essentials to these locations otherwise very large amounts of lives will be lost. GMG currently does not side with anyone or deny any of the houses fuel. In fact having won it's war and now seeing such demand rising from the other wars GMG is kinda experiencing a golden age, I doubt they want any of it to end.

GMG reputation with BD is that they are the financial backers of their fleet and GMG is the trainers of their pilots in guerilla type warfare. GMG used to not be throughout their partnership with the Samura family and even afterwards for awhile after they dropped Samura for Kishiro. BD have no export of their own and were seemingly on the edge of extinction if one were to believe the KNF rumours. They had approached GMG several times asking for GMG to finance the cause and were declined several times. It was a rise in the wartax imposed on GMG by the Samura backed Kusari gov't that finally made GMG agree to financing the BD fleet. Then suddenly the BD rose back up again in a very short period of time and were proving to be highly successful againt KNF in Hokkaido bringing operations over there to a neat halt.

GMG's current reputation with GC is generally neutral. They've never once showed hostility to GMG and they show plenty of hostility to GMG's Kusari counterparts. There may be momentary examples of co-operation through convenience but for the most part GMG pities them for their addiction and way of life. That being said a GC controlled Ku BS guards Okinawa and plays a role in it's defence from an over-reaching Kusari. For now GMG is not concerned of their presence and quietly appreciates the extra hand in keeping such undesirables like Hogosha and AFA out.

Essentially in GMG space certain unlawful and quasi-lawful groups have their roles reversed. Hogosha and AFA are deemed KoS and the BD and GC enjoy a similar quasi-lawful freedom that Hogosha and AFA enjoy in Kusari space.

Currently the Cannon RP is that GMG and Rheinland borders are closed. A GMG can destroy any RM, RFP or Kruger entering the Sigmas. As factions we spent many months working out the negotiations to re-opening the border between GMG and Rheinland and full trade agreements are underway between the two for the first time in 200 yrs. Both sides are hoping that this was included for next mod and that the open borders becomes cannon RP. But as I said earlier; we all have to wait and see, I have to guess whats gonna happen just as much as you do but perhaps the above can give a grain of insight.

Corrected it for you. As far as I'm aware, if GMG wasn't explicitly mentioned in the Kusari part, then it needs an update of it's own. Most likely business as usual though. Kishiro coming into power in Kusari means GMG and Kusari will be enjoying closer relations. Gallia's discovery doesn't impact GMG much - their engines don't run on H.

and it seems what I thought about the GMG etc. is rather correct.

So at the moment GMG does not supply Rheinland with H-Fuel (on
the direct way) and can only move the fuel to Bretonia taking the
long route due to the closed borders. Mh...

We as official factions do operate as though the borders are open and RepEx is signed as a second distributor along with Kishiro due to the increased expansion of our operations and to complete our desire to be the primary supplier of the four houses. RepEx supplies Rheinland, Bretonia and the inner Omegas that connect the two while Kishiro supplies Kusari, Liberty and the Taus leading to their controlled part of Bretonia (well they are not upholding their end of the contract by not delivering to Liberty anymore so currently we have a third party involved until we decide how to resolve this).

This is faction RP, however, and has not been instated as cannon RP. I cannot and will not force a non-faction player to abide to our RP that isn't cannon. I even welcome the thought of a group of GMG opposing the choices of the Guild Masters with a more hardlined approach that does take advantage of shooting Rheinland lawfuls and getting unlawful with Samura. Such a group would be viewed as wayward members of the GMG but it would be interesting because GMG is supposed to by a highly organized, close knit group. Out of the centuries of it's existance no mention of any unlawful group springing from GMG to oppose GMG has ever occured. I'm not sure whether the GMG would be inexperienced to inner dissent and unsure how to respond, or they are very effective at responding to inner dissent and sweeping the evidence under the rug.

I'd like to clarify, can BDs & GCs dock on GMG space (if they have their situations reversed)? I heard different answers from different people.

I've done it, my BD cruiser is fully repped green with even GMG guard. I've long ago opened the door to Sigma-59 to the BD. We are putting in the rumour card next mod that our Ohka nebula in 59 is the training grounds being used to teach BD nebula guerilla tactics. There is also the matter of our cap turrets. I specifically wish for them to be accessible for BD caps even without needing to use a comms thread to ask me permission. Their infocards were long stated that the turrets have gotten into the blackmarket. Now prefferably docking on GMG stations is done with discretion but I don't mind.

Roles flipped, GMG has a very specific trade route that involves the BD. It was added back in the beginnings of 4.85 for the shady part of GMG trade. We bring fuel to Hessiens in exchange for blood diamonds which we bring to Kyoto in exchange for small arms which are brought to Miura for the labour camp guards. My GMG tradeship has docked with Kyoto many times. Note to in Chugoku the lack of weapon platform defences around the Sigma-13 JH as opposed to the other heavily defended JHs, it's because there is no need to defend against one's ally. As far as I know only GMG and BD know of that connecting JH. GMG absolutely refuses to relinquish it's knowledge of the JHs to the neighbouring houses.
