Yeah they also need some work on to do. Also i have ideas for few more. For example: Synth paste, Iron, power cells, alcohol(ok, you got illegal drugs, and no leagal ones? Teqila for outcasts and corsairs, giving them legal commodity, beer for rheinland and bretonia, giving good argue story, wine for kusari, and nice prohibiton to liberty, if that is possible of course!), specialists (for example 3 of them, engineers(shipyard and facility), scientist(remote research stations) and soldiers(outposts and battleships)), robots(like ones that rule primus and work on docking sometimes, i think you can sell/buy those, hence you can transport them), antique items(good price on luxury wanting bases), glass, ticket(item for pirates and police to give away as token of free passage of fines, they are perishable so, watch out), toys, exotic animals, exotic plants, spices... few ideas... add your own... tobacco is fine, but there are some people that dont like that in game, and besides, if they didnt take marijuana, they didnt took tobacco either.
Allow Solyent green to be exported from Crete...allow good prices in places with food shortages.

Description:
Solyent green is imported from Unknown resources from the outrims of the Sirius. Most Traders do not like to disclose the source of this material. In high society it is considered a delicacy and the elite from inner houses can not get enough of it and the demand for it rises day by day
Personally, I'm rather of a mind that (at this point, as it's not hard to make a buck trading as it is) commodities are something that should be added to shore up lesser populated systems and give the locals something to do rather than just add a few semi redundant items.
Something to attract traders, who give the pirates something to do, who in turn invite the local police etc.
For example, set up the Shetland in Edinburgh with some illegal critters to move, it'll give the Gaians something extra to do besides shaking an impotent fist at that damn cruise liner.
Additionally, existing commodities could easily be modified to increase the profit over time to far flung locals, granting credence to the notion of hauling who knows what from one end of Sirius to the other.
Anything like that, really. Something to get people away from moving diamonds day in and day out :).
Just a thought.

Edit: I would not be adverse to a 'I support the LPI' bumper sticker commodity.
I definitely like the idea of a valuable LEGAL commodity coming from worlds like Crete or Malta - it would add some cool new potential there.... also adding alchohol is brilliant... lets face it, every planet has a bar!!! it might also be funny to see some pirates taxing the cargo..:)( a hold full of rum??? I'll take that!) Specific alchohol from and too certain areas would add a lot of new opportunities....
Actually making a viable passenger trade amongst the major houses would be good to.. ( and not to Crete... which begs the questions actually, WHY Crete??), it would be cool to see more passenger liners, and factions that were dedicated to running passengers...
This would also give Lawfuls a new tack to have "most wanted" categories of pirates (i.e, the ones who murdered a passenger liner full of innocent men, woman and children) - It would add to pirate RP as well ( I don't kill innocent passengers etc)
Adding some new "easy" trade routes for traders might be cool as well.. this would get them away from the diamond/niobium run (which is just to lucrative/easy NOT to do), it would move the pirates from sigma 13, and also mean pirates from far away systems don't keep trying to find excuses to be there....
a little off topic but:
One thing that would be really cool - but i don't know if this is possible, and would probably add to the workload of admins.... but....
The news reports on planets change - factions and clans, could give a brief post on a forum, and its entered into the game on the server... would that be possible? it would definitely make it a good RP for chars to read the news or about new "laws" In game!

I have been working with Bjorn in Skype over night. And I have gotten quite good at this. Bjorn is a great teacher!
Marijuana (beta1)
Marijuana (beta2)
Counterfeit software(to be revised)
Military Vehicles(beta1)
Military Vehicles(beta2)
Military Vehicles(beta3)
Cardimine(beta)
I need opinions on what Military Vehicle Icon looks best...
For cardimine, I went for how it was commonly administered as I couldn't find a suitable picture that represented the physical substance. If it goes through, it will take the place of the current one, making the pharmaceuticals icon unique to that commodity. Im still new at this....but I'm getting better!
The Marijuana icons are the first icons I made with Bjorns tutorial he gave me on Skype.
Comments!
"Three o'clock is always too late or too early for anything you want to do."
military vehicles beta 2 looks best - cause it looks a bit more futuristic. 1 is too dark - and 3 is... ancient.
marijuana beta 2 looks good - beta 1 is too bright ( compared to other commodity icons )
cardamine doesn t look good.
conterfeit software - its OK..
a little thing.... does it make sense to give contraband commodities a RED background instead of a grey? or is that too easy for someone scanning ...
I am just using the defult back-groud, because thats what I have avalable...and it matches the rest of the standard commodities in Freelacner, as the back-grounds are identical or similar.
The brightenss on beta1 will be changed...and I think that that one has the most potential over all of them.
I took the beta1 Marijuana leaf from someones avatar (i forgot the name)
The cardimine one will be changed to somthing else...
Apparently a Syringe is a little bit like the tank...ancient. So I tried not to use anything similar to a Syringe. The picture I chose looked like a futuristic injector....So I went with it...I will keep hunting for a better one.
