I've noticed that in the last few months it is especially bad. I have an idea how we might deal with it. It may seem a bit draconian but we really need to address the issue of player ruining the immersion of the game. What I suggest is that as a sanction for OORP rule violation one can have its reputation adjusted. I am sick of people ruining good factions because the simply wouldn't take the 10 minutes to read the rules and role-play accordingly.
I prefer to answer if someone asks me, except when they ask for money. How many of we would continue here if we punish rather than help the new players.
To me is everybody's job to bring people into the game, every time someone new leaves, is the fault of each and every one of us.
The problem is not the fact that we have lowuts, we have ALWAYS had them and ALWAYS will. The problem is that we have too few of us(myself included) willing to go out of our way to attempt to train them to do otherwise and work with them to make them valuable members of the community.
Cam has the right idea on this one.

[color=#FFFFFF]Well I always try explaining to people what roleplay is and why they should do it, but some people just refuse to listen, I'm not refering to new players. As for what is to become of their reputation, make them hostile to the faction they belong to. Example: The I love the Outcasts but the number of people completely unaware of what's going o is stunning. I respect those willing to adapt and learn today I met a dude who showed signes of roleplay in new york but had the wrong ship for the job I explained he bought a new ship and started roleplaying quite good actually, those people I respect help both with advises and financially but I hate to see players being in the server for 5-6 months and still have their engagement notice as "LOL"
It would appear to me like everyone's interest has declined, and with it, more personal hate spanning from boredom.
I think this is sure to people being excited for 4.86, with all the storyline released and such, that they think, "It's nearly here!!!" and then nothing happens.
Not blaming the Dev team or anything, just saying that people are getting into all sorts of trouble cause they've hyped themselves up for something that seemly won't ever arrive.
This means that a lot of normally level headed people are just behaving like children.

Most of the time it doesn't help trying to explain them such things. They simply don't want to listen, hell, some can't even understand You. I agree with the fact that we should help new players, teaching them the basics and so on, but I don't agree with trying to help people who don't want the help, nor don't want to integrate at all.
:/ these 'Lolwuts' will be the contributing community members of the future. What they need are instruction on how to play on this server, not reasons to leave prematurely. Sure there are some that don't want to learn how to play, but we should assume everyone wishes to become a member of the community until proven otherwise - not the other way around. Treat them with respect and patience, and those that wish to learn will learn.
