I have a question about the new ram damage thing, which is actually quite nice.
So far, it seems the large classed the ship is, then all ships under it will take damage.
My question is about the engagement rules. If someone is, say pirating you in a fighter/bomber, and you are in a transport. If he mistakenly rams you and dies, does that count as a death? when would the 4 hour rule come into place with this, if at all?
Yeah it counts as death. The rule states even killing yourself counts as death,so ramming a bigger ship and going poof? Oh well. 4 hours off for sucking.
' Wrote:Though, consent of all parties trumps the rules for most of the PVP rules. If the guy you ram to death agrees to not count it, then it won't count.
True. But somehow i do not think any traders,or miners will say to a pirate that rammed them and died "NP your still alive,come rob me again".
I do see under level 30's trying to sanction people cause they were ram killed by a big ship coming out a of TL and such.
Dude, pragmatically speaking, if they can't help but but hit the broadside of a barn & end up blowing up over it, how would that not be classified as a 'death' rulewise?:lol:

What about this;
Pirate is all; "I'ma kill you now."
Starts to kill trader.
Trader drops pirate's shields.
On a run, pirate hits trader, pirate explodes due to this new system
