Kujira is GMG Whale, the ship with 4700 cargo and 1 class 3 turret.
The 'midsized transport vessel' you're referring to is Kamome, a.k.a GMG Miner, which has 2800 cargo and 6 transport turrets.

One issue. Just cause a spot shows up as a mining area does not make it one. Many are from Vanila,and you get nothing from them now. That should be corrected.
Going through your post once again, I noticed it's rather hard to read, because of the plain text style you've decided to use for the guide. So i decided to put a couple of minutes on it and add a simple BBCode to it, just to make it less eye-tiring for whoever that might read this in future.
