I was doing mission in a patriot and a nice trader came and helped me, but when we finished he gave me some money and told me to buy a better ship for missions, and said i should trade. I went around in libertyt looking for a ship and i chose between a carmara and a combat service frieghter, so i got the Csf but what guns should i put on it for protection from pirates and nomads? Advice would be welcome, thanks, and thank you to the Dse who gave me the money to buy my new ship
Combat service freighter...Nice one.Used to mine metal scrap with it.Well, If you can get 1 mining turret and junker ID/iff for it.try mining scrap, as for guns, Use some civie guns, since that ship isn't good for combat and even best guns wont protect you from fighter or bomber.Enough if you can defend yourself from annoying npcs.
a CSF would be good for you to mine Scrap as Helo mentioned, but also you could do some Helium mining in pennsylvania to work up some good money before you buy your first real ship:)
The Combat Service Freighter is one of the best freighters around. With it you can mine scrap for a second person in a train, or even run it yourself. And, you can easily escape pirates with the mine launcher it has.
Weapons wise, purple goddess chain guns (can be found on Barrier Gate in Coronado) are easy to hit enemy fighters with, as they are fast and sync up between the gun and turret versions.
Okay, purple godess work really well for me now, but lots of people say i should develop a roleplay character persona. any advice? is there anything that can help structure a character or develop roleplay? what faction should i be? I have been using a civilian Id now but it can't use any good ships, help is very welcome, thank you
When you're already using a CSF, perhaps you should start a Junker character. Get someone to help you with missions, get yourself an appropriate ID and then just figure out what you want to do with your character's storyline.
I don't want to be a junker because mining for scrap is boring and junkers get bullied lots. I am interested in a faction that can mine or trade with me because it gets boring when you are alone, what is the best for this?
I think you're a bit wrong about Junkers. They're not just junk collectors, they are also a powerful group with a lot of connections, both lawful and unlawful. They can mine, trade/smuggle and even pirate, outside of house space.
