To whom it may concern,
We would like to inform Liberty trade authorities that under Gateway registration we will start operating trade routes to and from Liberty space with a Barge.
We though, as there is a kind of grey area when it come to regulation of those ships, that it would be good to know, out of a so british courtesy, if any restriction other than the usual list of illegal goods was to be minded due to the unusual large size of the cargo.
We know by experience that sometimes border control agent can frown upon us if not annouced.
We would like to know especially what goods are or not authorised for 40.000 cargo to Reinhland, so we we can plan our trips without surprises.
Yours,
Alban

Captain Alban;
It is pleasing for us to know that Gateway Shipping has continued interests in dealing with Liberty. The moving of a Barge is no small feat, so we will prepare to receive you at the appropriate mooring locations.
Naturally, there are a number of commodities which are illegal by Liberty House Law; evidently you are well aware of what those goods are and will not attempt to transport them.
Now to other items of trade. It is against Liberty Common Occupational Health and Safety Regulations for you to transport human and/or live animal cargo on board a Barge, excluding your ship's crew and attached personnel.
Due to the ongoing conflicts throughout Sirius, should you wish to purchase munitions such as Military Vehicles or Light Arms from Liberty, we will require information on your planned destination and detailed records of their delivery. Additionally, Ageira Technologies only permits companies with established contracts to transport their Gate/Lane Parts, and as far as our records show, Gateway does not hold such a contract.
Upon consulting with the relevant corporate representatives, I have checked which of our corporations are willing and able to receive a Barge at their docks. Mooring facilities are available at all planets in Liberty, and at the following stations:
- Newark Station, New York
- Baltimore Shipyard, New York
- Norfolk Shipyard, New York
- Toronto Station, Ontario
All other stations are not equipped with the necessary equipment required for a Barge to moor, and you would require smaller auxiliary vessels to transfer cargo between your Barge and the station.
This message is also being copied to other higher members of the government but their response will not likely be necessary. Should you have any other queries this channel will remain open.
As I said, we wont try to press any further charges and will put some effort to let the pressure cool down a bit, but we find it very disturbing nontheless.
We are trying, and you can testify it, to operate some large scale trade between Bretonia and Liberty the proper way. Respectfull of all regulations and sensibilty, it is a pity to find those ashaming behaviors from your security forces not strongly condamned.
In order to keep the trade routes open to Liberty, we hope this was a one time incident.
With respect
Alban

Captain Alban;
This report is most appaling for me to read. Unfortunately, those Navy crews are well outside of my jurisdiction, and I cannot do anything about it except forward it on to Naval High Command.
It is my sincere wish that you continue to trade with Liberty for the good of both our houses.
