While Ageira's greatest interests are with the Gate construction sites, we also have a secondary interest in bolstering Liberty's economy from Kusari work. This is done in order to provide good return and net a profit on the way back from supplying the construction sites. In light of the recent issues and a fluctuating economy, we have been green-lighting the movement of transports with this as an equal-priority goal.
With much of Liberty's manufacturing power devoted to the war with Rheinland, its Corporations, including Ageira, are required to pick up the slack in certain areas, and so some goods have to be imported rather than built locally. Of course, we'd rather come to Bretonia for such resources and materials, but the simple fact of the matter is that you too are in a similar situation, albeit one smore dire, and are in no position to support Liberty's economy in the manner it requires. I have no doubt that if you could, you would, but your own resources need to stay on your home front. Furthermore, I don't believe that this should be a point of criticism on us, considering that Bretonian corporations do take some of their business to Rheinland.
As for Okinawa, we have no interest in angering either party. Between you and I, Commodore, I wouldn't mind seeing the GMG defeat Kusari in this matter, and give their pompous Emperor a slap in the face. However, the fact is that our trade focuses with Kusari at a far greater scale than with the GMG. Indeed, the GMG's biggest export, H-Fuel, which Liberty needs the most, is currently brought to us by Kusari corporations. Publicly aiding the GMG would destroy relations with Kusari, something which would all but ruin our business, as well as having very severe consequences on the Liberty economy. Publicly aiding Kusari would do little but anger the GMG, and is simply not worth the cost.
Furthermore, I feel you have misinterpreted our intentions in closing down the Okinawa Construction Site. Perhaps you are unaware that it was funded in part by Kishiro Technologies, not solely by the GMG. In one way, it was a protest against the Kusari Government for barring access to the Okinawa system, and also was similar to the actions taken by Interspace Commerce in shutting down parts of Furyoku Station. While the conflict is in progress, day-to-day business cannot occur. While the necessary labour force is present, the necessary Parts are not, due to the construction schedule and the shipping timetable on which we operate. That is to say, the Parts are not taken to the site until shortly before they are needed there.
As you can see, Commodore, we intend to stay neutral in this conflict, but I hope you can understand our perspective here. We simply cannot afford to anger Kusari with so much of our own, and Liberty's, interests vested there. Imagine how difficult it would be to service the Okinawa site if the Kusari Navy was ordered to fire on us.
Commodore Hunter, while I have no doubt that you are an honourable lady, before I divulge the full details of Ageira shipping routes, I need to have your assurance that such information will not be used to plan and/or execute more attacks against our vessels in Kusari.
