So, earlier I docked with Hamburg. I was immidiately suprised that the planet looked like it was broken to me, the bakground and any buildings that should be there are absent in favour of just white. I disregarded this though and picked up a mission before heading out. Instantly on clicking undock and reaching the loading screen the game crashes me though. I go back in, I dont take a mission and then I undock. Same problem. About eleven attempts later, same problem. I'd rather like someone, an administrator mostly, to move me to the station just outside the planet if thats not too much trouble. Character name 'Dawnslayer'.
If anyone knows in the meantime how to fix the issue with the pleanet please do say. It looks to me like the files on my end may be corrupt or something but I just cant tell. Any advice on the matter is welcome though.

I'm bumping this post because I rather want to use the character again. If an admin could please just move my character to the nearby station I'd be very appreciative.
Also it does indeed seem like that is the case. But I'm no longer in posession of the CD for Freelancer. I'd rather just, at this point, never dock on Hamburg.
Once again, I need an admin to do the simple task of moving my character, Dawnslayer, from Planet Hamburg to the station just outside the planet. Really, I've been pretty patient about this so the sooner this gets done the sooner I can play a character I've wanted to go on for the past week.
Well, the thing is: You need to reinstall Freelancer anyway.
Server might detect the Corrupt installation and kick you out anyway.
Download a Freelancer SDK and Deactivate the Discovery mod...
Download Discovery Mod again, don't activate it.
Install SDK and then activate discovery mod again.
It should work fine now, when the problem is ini files
I resolved the issue using another computer that had freelancer lurking in the drives. Uppdated it, copied account info over, undocked, docked on the station. I'm copying the clean files for Hamburg over now to avoid further issue.
