Hey everybody.:) I've only been playing discovery for a day, tho I've played regular FL since it came out. Well, I've got a few questions that might seem pretty lame but please bear with me....thx.:)
1) How do I play other mods without screwing Discovery mod up? Or CAN I?
2) Is it possible (in SP or MP) to own more than ONE ship? Sometimes I'm in a Fighter Pilot mood and sometimes I'm in a Miner mood, or a Cargo Trader mood and I hate it when I need to trade out my ship each time I'm in the mood to play another role or to try out a different type of ship.
If anyone can answer these questions I would really appreciate it. Thx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
There are two ways - to activate and deactivate mods all the time when you want to play one mod or another; or to install anothe copy of Freelancer into different folder and chose that one in the Freelancer Mod Manager's settings to install other mods on that copy.

It's much simpler. You can have up to 5 ships one one multiplayer account - and have as many accounts as you need, switching between them with Freelancer Account Manager. You can play them as the ships that belong to the same person or to the completely different ones. Unfortunately, singleplayer doesn't allow you to play it the same way.
Thx sadtranslation!!! From what you've said maybe i can do it. I'll give it a try. I haven't played MP yet but I might soon. I still don't have a real handle on how ID's work in MP and what role they play AT ALL in SP. I'm searching all over the forums to get answers to my questions. Thx for the help!!!:)

Warning: This might get you kicked if you try it in MP. Make sure you disable it before using MP. You can use a Windows batch file to do this.
Awesome! Thank you! I've always thought that we should be allowed to have at least two ships if not more so you can try different aspects of the game without trading your current ship or starting a new character. I'm gonna dload that plugin and check it out. thx again!:)

Thx for the push in the right direction. Still learning my way around this forum (only just joined last night, LOL). I'm going to read all thru the subforum you suggested. Thx sadtranslation you're a great help.:)I have Skyp loaded on my laptop ut have never used it...hahaha!!!
It should work with Discovery, even if it says it won't.
However, be sure to uninstall that plugin before logging on to the Discovery server.
