Good day to you Mr Sanders, i hope you are well.
It seems that the conflict in Omega 7 is having a major affect on Gateway Interstellar shipping. The route between Bretonia and Rheinland is a major one for Gateway and the loss of this would be a death blow to us and to Bretonia.
I have already contacted the Colonial forces in Omega 7 to try and gain passage for our ships in this comm message:
The officer i spoke to has done all that can be done from their point of view. I send this message to you now in the hope that, with your help, safe passage can be gained for all Gateway) tagged ships passing this zone in peace.
As a side note i will dispatch the Royal Liner Gateway)Carpathia to O7 to aid any civilians who wish to leave the area.
First of all I wish to express my regrets on the effects this conflict is having on your business. Gateway has been a long-term partner of IMG and we do not wish to harm your interests. However, the stance Rheinland has taken has forced our hand. We are miners - when Rheinland claimed sovereignty of the system we were not concerned since claiming space is not the Guild's way. However, when Daumann and Kruger tried to force us off of the mineral deposits which the Guild prospected in the first place, the result was inevitable.
The resulting intervention by the Colonial Republic, and the partial blockade of the system are our best way of fighting back. To cripple the already hurting Rheinland economy further. As a result, I can at this point regrettably not grant your request, with one exception. I'm very much aware of the H fuel shortage in Bretonia, and the need to continue to supply your own fleet and those of your navy. Since it is not a commodity produced in Rheinland it will not affect it's economy significantly.
Engine components, military vehicles and sidearms are produced in Liberty as well to my knowledge, so you should be able to find an alternate supplier for those. Nuclear devices are just too risky to carry through a warzone. I apologise, but have to agree with the Republic's field commander, carrying those through Omega 7 at present, poses a direct risk to Freistadt.
Regards,
- Johnathan Sanders, on behalf of the Independent Miners Guild
Ps. I'm not the guildmaster - I am the guild's director of R&D, and a bit of a diplomat. If you wish to try and reach the guildmaster, Nicolas Hargreaves, you can try and do so, but he's on an extended deep space survey and we don't expect to reestablish contact within the next few weeks.

Director,
My apologies for the typo in the address, in a busy time such as this i made a mistake.
I can understand this being a worrying time for the Guild and Gateway Interstellar does not want to add to those worries.
I have to try and do whats best for Gateway and to that i propose a way where we can all try to see out this situation.
Gateway can curtail its trade route to and from Rheinland, but to do that we will take a hefty fall in profits. A way we can fix this is to set a good price on Gold ore that you mine in Dublin. If we set the buy price at 3200 per unit of ore bought from the IMG by Gateway) tagged ships, until this crisis is over then revert back to the normal price, it will not only go a long way in preventing a huge loss in trade by Gateway but it will increase IMG output and profit due to the increase of trade. This would, of course, go to Liberty.
On another note, the Royal Liner Gateway)Carpathia is now on station in Omega 7 and is ready to assist the IMG in any way it can in providing safe passage away from the conflict zone if any need it.
