A man in a fine suit steps before the podium, a small collection of reporters are seated throughout the room waiting patiently as the President, CEO, Director of Commerce, and Manager of Defense Forces file in; they take their seats on stage off to the right of the center. A second pair enter from left, one wearing a lab coat with the others clothing noting nothing of importance.
The large logo flashes above the assembled DHC leaders, calming the assembled reporters.
Aldric Kaufmann leans forward, "Guten tag gathered citizens of Sirius," the crowd stirs at the new format for addressing the gathered group, "today, we Daumann Heavy Construction, in consort with the population of Planet Holstein." Aldric pauses as he pans the crowd. "Daumann Heavy Construction would like to announce the beginning of Project Genesis: The Frankfurt Revival." Aldric leans back from the podium as the gathered reporters' mouthes gap in suprise, it disappears quickly as Aldric leans back toward the microphone. "Project Genesis is designed to make the system of Frankfurt and Planet Holstein a new center for Rheinland living with a whole new field of resources to exploit itself," he eyes a woman in the front row, "und standard of living." Aldric pushes away from the podium, walking along the left side of the crowd.
Striding along the plateform Aldric continues to address the crowd. "The first phase of Project Genesis has several key parts in accelerating the the current rate of development to Planet Holstein." Turning on his heel he walks the other way. "Daumann Heavy Construction will award 1,000 new Planetform Inc. employees with visa's needed to remain within Rheinland for extended periods." He rotates on his heels as he walks the other way once more. "Another 1,000 visas will be awarded to Samura agricultural engineers to aide in developing the planet further as a viable agriculture food source for the House of Rheinland."
As Aldric pauses reporters jump up, attempting to ask questions. He pans the crowd, raising his hand for the gathered individuals to calm themselves. "The Daumann Heavy Construction fleet currently has the assets needed to boost the import of terraforming gases to expediate the process further." He turns once more as he adjusts the cuffs on his suit. "Within the hour the Daumann Heavy Construction Firm will be establishing contact with the Zoners groups to bring a colony class transport into orbit," the crowd jumps up once more at the announcement of Zoner involvement; Aldric gives a blank stare at the group as he allows them to quiet, "This colony vessel will act as a orbital dock yard and development facility, the labs aboard the ship will allow for more exacting studies to be conducted producing more viable results."
Aldric stops pacing the plateform as he folds his arms behind his back. "With this colony ship established DHC will begin to move to infrastructure development, a new power generator plant design perfectly fit to the planet itself and it will handle a near doubling of current population levels from 60 million inhabitants to 120 million inhabitants." He resumes his pacing toward the podium before the crowd can speak once more. "This new generator and its sister modules will provide renewable energy sustaining the planet and in an environmentally friendly fashion."
Reaching the podium, Aldric faces the group as he grips it. "Using the newly imported gases, work force, and commodities, DHC will be aiming to increase the planet's current temperature from 17 degrees celcius to a healthy 30 to 32 degree celcius scale; allowing for sturdy and rapid agricultural growth while maintaining resort like qualities."
The crowd of reporters star at one and another, unable to speak. "I now leave the next phase of development to our CEO, Nixie Thalberg." Aldric steps back, taking Nixie's seat as he watches her.
Nixie Thalberg removes a small high perched utop her head as he adjusts the microphone. "Evening Rheinlander's, Kusarians, and Bretonian's." She tilts her head to one side as she looks about. "Phase Two of the Revival Project details the infrastructure of Planet Holstein," She sets the small hat on the podium. "Using strategically selected islands on the planet itself, two of the largest have been selected to be turned into space for land base food production and housing," Nixie eyes an android at the back of the room, "The third large island will be a mix of labratories, housing, and space ports itself." She turns her attention away from the android as she focuses on the papers beneath her hat, "Smaller islands have been selected for small farms, resort locations, and viable deep water ports for floating cities and the main focus of DHC, deep ocean mining in search of hydrogen, methane, and other assorted gasses buried within the planet." The reporters look about unsure of the last statement. "The floating cities that will be set adrift and maintained by hand picked crewmen which will allow for eco-friendly living with the space of being no where near another city of at least 100 nautical miles." She wets her lips as she looks up. "These floating cities will be largely self sustaining, housing water processing facilities, fisheries that are friendly to the planet and the needed ship docks to allow for the farm grown foods to be delivered will ensure these floating cities will be able to support themselves."
Nixie shuffles papers as she looks about the room. "The main focus of developing this planet is food production, the resorts and floating cities are a secondary bonus to our operations on the planet itself." Move her hat she grabs a new sheet from the pile. "Currently survey teams are establishing viable drilling derrick locations across the planet that will be able to withstand the forces of nature and be able to accept some of the largest shipping craft across Sirius."
Leaning on the podium Nixie tilts her head to the other side. "Daumann Heavy Construction will be encouraging these floating cities to develop their own cultures and crafts, with resources being brought in to each city; we at DHC believe these Cities will take on lives of their own and their wares will be shipped across Sirius with the bulk of the profits going directly back to the creators."
Straightening her back Nixie takes a deep breath. "The ability to power all of these new structures, will be the technological marvel of the Frankfurt system itself. These new turbines and generators will be able to supply the planet with enough power to maintain all operations and expand to a limited degree when needed."
"Phase Three of the project I leave to our Commerce Bureau Director Ludwig Hertz." Nixie Thalberg dones her hat once more as she moves toward Ludwig, taking his seat as he moves forward.
Ludwig Hertz straightens his waist coat as he moves toward the front of the stage. "Guten tag honored guests of Rheinland, Phase Three is the final stage of the Frankfurt System Revival." He unbuttons his suit as he adjusts his presence to the reporters. "This final phase details the colonization of the planet and the colonists intergration into the planet itself." The crowd murmurs as they find their voice once more. "This section of the colonization plan details opening communication channels with Bretonia, and Kusari to allow refugees to the planet itself on a case by case basis." Sliding off his jacket Ludwig drapes it over his arm. "Do not be mistaken that we will be excluding Rheinlander's from this fully completed planet, Rheinland citizens will recieve incentives and the first seats to Planet Holstein itself." Moving out in front of the podium, Ludwig sits down at the edge of the plateform, watching the crowd.
"Through detailed and carefull colonization approaches we believe that the diversities of each floating city will be achieved. As new Rheinland citizens are inducted into the society of the House of Rheinland, jobs based on the skill sets and capabilities will be awarded accordingly on a city by city basis." Getting up from his position at the stage edge Ludwig pans the crowd. "It is the hope and belief that through this floating city concept and food production efforts that Planet Holstein under Daumann Heavy Construction control will lead Rheinland into a new era of economic prosperity." Ludwig dons his coat once more as the leaders of DHC step toward the podium as a group.
Standing in front of the podium and group Ludwig cross his arms. "We believe that within a year or two's time we will be able to complete this project, it will require the aide of Corporations across Sirius and large quantities of material to be achieved. In the end Planet Holstein will become a center for new resource acquisitions as well as a food development planet for the House of Rheinland."
Falling into place the President Hermann Daumann takes the podium. "The Daumann Construction family will now accept questions."
The woman in the front who had been looked at glanced at her companion. The blonde guy stood. He had a ringwith a familiar symbol.
"Sirs and ma'ams, how did you convince the Rheinwher to accept this colony ship to assist in Project Genisis? I've heard rumors that thesr colony ships dwarf even a Rheinland Battleship."
Hermann Daumann steps forward, gripping the podium as he centers his attentions on the woman. "We have not yet made contact with the Rheinwher over the issue of this colony vessel, we feel it will not pose a threat to the defenses of Rheinland as its mission is a peacefull one." Hermann Daumann pauses after the answer, panning the crowd for more questions.
A short pudgy man in the front stood up, cleared his throat gruffly and then raised his hand, not that raising it was needed. He already had the attention he wanted by standing up. He was almost bald, with grey hair, a well worn but impeccably maintained suit topped off with a tight formal tie. He appeared to be wearing a wedding band, and a journalist badge hung haphazardly around his fat neck.
"Messrs Daumann and Associates, how do you intend to convince the Zoners to bring a fabled vessel into Rheinland space, with the threat of both the vessel being disemboweled for it's technology, and potentially destroyed? Are you offering them something in return? How do you expect investors to react to such a change?"
Hermann Daumann eyes the pudgy man carefully, assessing him before he speaks. "This 'fabled' vessel as you call it mein herr will specifically be stationed there as a more apt planetary dock yard. This will allow for more timely distribution a Barge can not offer, we also believe that the Zoner's will not be set upon by their hosts as the vessels capacity for handling the parceling of cargo far exceeds what technology could be gained." He clears his throat before he continues on. "We have no quams if the Zoners choose to garrison their vessel either. For what in return shall be discussed in a private setting."

"Messrs Daumann, I never mentioned a Barge." And with that, the pudgy man sat down leaving others in the room to wonder whether the Zoners had already offered a Barge instead of their fabled ship.
Thanks for giving me this task, no matter it wasn't as easy as it looks. I've done my research concerning supplying planet Holstein with energy for 120 million residents, Project Genesis, Phase Two. All three technologies I recommend hereby are extremely environmental friendly. Of course, we can implement all of them with more than reasonable price.
ORBITAL SOLAR PANELS
Orbital solar panels
Orbital solar panels can vary. There are two main technologies: active ones and passive ones. Both need huge space construction to be placed in the stationary orbit over north and south pole. Panels are huge and are considered easy target, so some cooperation with Military Forces is highly recommended.
a) Active panels collect energy from sun, convert it to microwaves and shoot the ray of energy to collector facilities on the planet above. Those facilities convert microwaves to electricity with 90% effectiveness.
b) Passive panels are way simpler and cheaper. All they do is just collecting and focusing sun rays down to planet. This technology would provide higher temperatures and light levels of light on the planet above, even during the night. This can really boost living conditions and food production down there. We had some progress with sea tomato and sea potato seaweeds and some more genetic vegetable species that can grow on salt water. But... that subject we should leave for Phase Three reports.
MHD REACTORS
Symbiotic MHD reactor
Magneto-hydro-dynamic fusion reactors could provide 90% of energy for Holstein production facilities. Sounds complicated, but it's simply slowed down hydrogen fusion making overheated plasma which flow produces electric current. Each production complex on planet can have its own MHD. This solution outmatches any other with high efficiency and security aspect. As planet is rich in water and all isotopes of hydrogen, this would be cheapest solution for industry power supply. We'd just need catalyst element lithium, but even that is easy to get from sea water
But... fusion is tricky, it could cause pollution eventually. Well... Not on Holstein, Meine Frau. There are some seaweed species on Holstein we can push to grow and solve that issue, as they actually eat radiation. We can backup that Gamma-Ray Absorbing Systems (already named GRAS) by genetically produced kinds of symbiotic bacteria. We have very encouraging feedback from all labs researching that wonder of nature. We will be ready to implement both solutions in just a year.
GEOTHERMAL PLANTS
Submerged geothermal plant
Geothermal generators could cover just 10% of growing production power needs, but 96% of energy needed for residents. So, we can use it for homes, together with mini solar panels on every house. As every floating city is deeply anchored to the bottom of the sea, all we should do is to drill some more to reach planet's overheated core. Long super-pipes can bring cold water down and than a lot of steam up to submerged city generators. Water can condense in the process and loose all salt, so it can be used as any other warm water up in the city on the surface.
For building such power supply facilities on planet Holstein, Daumann factories should be supplied with:
- Oder shipyard with Superalloys (high demand for solar panels production)
- Raubling station with Mining Machinery (high demand to keep high aluminum production)
- Holstein planet with basic Alloys (high demand for floating cities building)
- Holstein planet with Polymers (average demand)
- Holstein planet with Copper (average demand)
- Holstein planet with Industrial Materials (average demand)
- Holstein planet with Superalloys (low demand)
- Holstein planet with High-Temperature Alloy (low demand)
- Holstein planet with Basic Alloy (low demand)
Accurate quantities we will publish in our Genesis Project supply list. I'd like to add that all energy sources mentioned are totally green and easy expandable to support more colonists.
