As some of you know I operate OCULUS Media, but recently I been trying to work-in actual in game video into our news broadcasts by turning the ~30 sec videos into gif images to then be placed within the animations along with specific frame rates to look real.
Problem is.. I can generate them, but they are usually at around 1800 frames. A lot, and impossible to edit. When I tried shorting the video through a in-computer video editor, it turns it into a movie (.mpg) which I then need to convert back to a video clip (.avi). After all this, I can then put it into my MS GIF animator. But when I do it pops up that it is usually corrupt or a different format (it is in the correct format).
So, I was curious if anyone has suggestions, or any advice for other programs that would make this less complicated and actually work.
I have never actually worked a video into a gif. Only pictures or art, so any advice in this matter would be helpful.
P.S. Free programs are better:lol:, but if there are none thats fine to.
You said that You made a gif files by some program, I said that for that purpouse You could use gimp - it's free program, and each layer is a one frame, You could edit a time of showing the frames.
So instead using few programs You could use one of two (that depends do You work on pictures only, or You made a ingame video - what You convert into a "slideshow")

I do have gimp, and do edit the frames along with the time. The problem isn't necessarily putting it in, its the length of the video being 1800 frames, and when I shorten them through my program it is no longer able to be converted into a gif
