I recently had the idea of dividing bats/bots into snubcraft and capital ship types. This would make sense in RP and the Q_Qs about battleships supplying fighters with bots during a battle could be disabled.
Of course Repair Ships could carry both of the ones as it's obviously its purpose.
So, any ideas?

This might be possible to do but requires a lot of work. Upside being that the capital bots/bats could have an increased regen capacity (especially for the shield ones this would be useful, and you'd not have to set the count to an insane number) at an increased cost. Say, hull/shieldpoints regained *7.5 for hull, *20 for shield, price *100. Reduce the resulting capship bot/bat storage by a factor 10 to compensate and allow them to use only these.
Result: Much more resilient caps, that have higher operating cost. And more then 1 shield reset for battleships with the current battery storage. Just one is just not enough.

It costs just about alot to buy 2000/2000 and Heavy CM's, more than the regular fighter ressuply. Make difference in the way their used, but not the price.
cap bots bats, should have higher battery regen... as a massive cap would prioritize having a shield over risking its hull....
cap bats should also heal more hull.... currently, a cap can with 1600 bots heal 1.8xbase hullpoints.... while a VHF can with its ammounts of BB, repair up to 6 times !!
i love the idea.. and it gives more reason for people to fly repairships, which is REALLY nice ship to RP with...
Well, for some reasons, many people not like when enemy side have repair ship.
Anyway, I like idea of caps and fighters regens diference.
But do not forget that there are also Carriers, carriers are worse in fight than other ships wtih they size, like liberty Assault Carrier < Dread.
What I try to say is that, repair ship should be able only to send regens to Capital ships and not to fighters because Fighters and Bombers are capaible to suviver alot and are realy realy hard to hit, fighter or bomber swarm can easy take down fieet wtihout lossing any regens at all.
However Carriers are not good to fight enemy ships, so to give tham better RP, carriers should be only capital ships able to carry Regens for fighters and bombers.
Basicaly, reduce number of regens what fighter and bomber can carry, increase capital ship shield batery efect, make repair ship able only to send regens to capital ship, and make carriers able to resuply fighters/bombers to give tham more RP use.
