What is the deal with Liberty? Isn't it suppose to be a democracy with elections and all of that? Is it only run by the Military because nobody wants to be bothered to role play it out with a president and senate?

I understand that any type of election would be ungodly difficult to manage, so I will let that one be forgotten and ignored like other things that are limitations of the game. But what about the President and all of that? Whats with the Navy calling all of the shots?

The power in Liberty will be shared as all the factions involved wish it to be.

Liberty's current government is basically the members of the high commands of various Liberty factions, and we just RP various government people when the situation needs it. This is because it's a whole lot easier to manage Liberty this way.

Maybe it's not obvious, but there is in fact a President Powell, and several Secretaries of State for various jobs. The way we are currently running the government, no one person owns or controls a particular character; rather, they are shared like the forum account, so that any one member of the government can use whichever character is most appropriate to deal with a situation. When people start asking for things which don't involve the Liberty Law and Military, then you'll see non-military characters.

edit: essentially ninja'd.
Until recently, only the LN, LPI and LSF ran the government; now Ageira, USI and DSE have input and decision making authority.

If you have a suggestion, feel free to voice it.

Yes, unless there is a conflict of interest between the Government as a whole and one particular faction.

For example, USI can't vote on their own tech request.
