1) Issues surrounding grossly unbalanced or inappropriate technology use, including the exploitation of combinations of equipment not intended by mod developers. This does not include complaints about equipment which was approved by administrators, such as those granted when a faction was created.
2) Abuse of faction rights, i.e. the exercise of power for its own sake without sufficient justification.
3) Poor in-game behaviour, characterised by repeated incidents which are harmful to server gameplay, and not merely once-off incidents or the exercise of tactical advantage, such as outnumbering, outgunning or outthinking an opponent.
concerning 1
- the admins and/or the faction HAS to post what was agreed on then, cause the casual player does not know what was agreed on
- SRPs need to be linked in the feedback thread - and/or factionwide SRPs and agreements
- many complaints come from unavoidable ignorance. - factions are reluctant to reveal their deals - and also reluctant to really show what was agreed on.... furthermore they edit their faction setup as they see fit sometimes. - the casual player cannot keep up with that.
- if the above is not done... the faction can hardly complain when other players point those out - yet...it has happened in the past that factions become very defensive and hostile against players that spotted such inconsistencies - yes reluctant to offer utmost transparency - which is an obligation in that case.
- it has also shown that no matter what devs say ... factions don t like to change according to it - so we can leave the devs out of it i guess. devs can only say what was "meant" to be done - and one point of SRPs or SRP like agreements is to do what "was not meant to be done" ( thats the core of SRPs )
concerning 2
- FR2 and FR5 have to pass through the administration staff ... so when it passed through that one - the responsibility has also passed from the faction to the admin staff!
- maybe it would be good if not only official factions had a feedback thread... but also the administration?
Granted SRPs are pinned in a directory.
Approved faction requests are in a separate subforum. I will link these to the post I made.
By 2, I was referring to types of abuse outside of the ones which we have to process. There are other ways to abuse power. (I imagine there are but I can't think of any.)
Admin feedback takes the form of the others in the admin chat shouting at me that I have "broke Discovery" and "put another nail in the coffin". I do take your point, however.
As for the role of developers, there is often stuff discussed in mod development that matters very much on the server, and we may not always be aware of it. e.g. balancing and testing of ships for current mod was done without mixing equipment. Other people will be far better informed than I am in this.
Off Topic: Guys, stop using black/grey font color as default theme is black colored making it very hard to read. Especialy on phones.
On topic: I think exactly developers/balancers should be responsible for allowing certain combination as it was the way they created game. Not how players would see fit to mix and match best guns and ships possible to get only PvP advantage while disregarding roleplay.
