Administrator Summers, firstly I wish to congratulate you on your recent success in rising to the position of Administrator of Freeport 1. I understand that it was only through the failings of the previous Administrator, Dakun, that gave you the chance to display your ability to diffuse the situation.
I am Jeremy Porter, Chairman of Volgograd Industrial and a member of the Coalition's Politburo. I feel that the time is now right to extend our diplomatic hand to your station's administration. It is becoming more and more obvious that the Coalition is abandoning its more isolationist policies, which is why VI was formed in the first place. So who better to deal with then some of our closest neighbours?
Please respond on this channel if you're interested.
Mr. Porter, man, im so terribly sorry. The last few days have been crazy like you wouldn't believe, and now that ive gotten a minute to go over my messages, I see yours. Please, accept my apologies for not getting to it sooner...
Now, you'll have to excuse me if im not totally up on the current politics. I always thought the New Coalition was a scary myth. If you do represent such a group, that's interesting.
well, I'll tell you what - at this point, our little abused Freeport can use all the friends it can get - I am interested to hear what you have to say. If you'd like to come aboard and talk in person, we can do that, our over this channel, or however you prefer.
If you do come over, you will have to pardon our dust, this place is still kinda half-built. In the wake of half the station leaving, then half of it being rebuilt for a casino and other such lunacy, then a massive fight breaking out over top of it, and then repair effort, and trying to rebuild its old amenities (before casino nonsense), well, im sure you have somewhat of an idea as to how everything's going.
Were also polling the populace to decide who the next Administrator will be - at the moment, Jeremy, im just acting as Interim - But if we do work something out before whoever it is takes over, I'll make sure to explain to him or her the details of whatever we end up working out.

Administrator Summers, you're not the only one with very pressing matters to attend to. I apologise for my tardiness in responding to your response.
The Coalition's presence in Sirius is no myth or legend - it's as real as the station you're standing in. But there is no reason to be frightful - time changes a society, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. I'll allow you to consider whether us contacting you is a good or bad change in our foreign policies.
I'll be honest. There are two things I am interested in - profit and stability. Not profit for myself, but rather profit for the Coalition as a whole. The higher the profit, the higher the level of social credit that reaches the people. Social credit is our currency system - each citizen is given a set allotment of money to spend however they wish. Citizens are all encouraged to work harder as a whole because if they do the wealth of the Coalition increases and their allotment of social credit rises. One of Volgograd Industrial's main aims is to make this allotment as high as possible and to keep that level stable.
To attain this goal, we must export things which others are interested in. The Coalition has a large supply of H-Fuel and deuterium, as well as pharmaceuticals and light arms. We also currently have engine components to spare if you're interested in these.
I'm afraid that pressing internal matters in our home system require me to remain close to home, but I appreciate the invitation. I do not have the power to send a similar invitation to you at this time - as I said, the Coalition is currently undergoing a radical change in foreign policy.
I suppose that if we do arrange something now, it will be the decision of your succeeder whether the arrangements remain as we agreed them. But Freeport 1 requires immediate aid, and waiting while a popular leader is elected may mean disaster. Both for the people of Freeport 1 and the entire system's stability.
No problem on the time - I'm used to sitting and waiting, and grew a lot of patience back in the day - but I've been busy with so much, the time flies, ya know?
I had the pleasure to meet two pilots of the Coalition recently, and i was surprised. I used hear spacer tales about the Coalition. As the tales go, you'd be cruising in the deep omega's, and then black ships that come outta the sun, pop your engines, vent your hold, and shatter bridge glass. 10 seconds and everyone on board would be dead before you'd ever see 'em. In my time, that sounds more like Corsairs.
The Coalition pilots I met were anything but - they were cordial, professional, and handily cleared the system of undesirables. I was happy to have that silly old spacer tale broken. Those two were true soldiers.
As well, your offer sounds good. As i said, right now, were in a delicate position. While we have support of our own community - everyone here has pulled together as one to put our home back together again - With every friend we have, it seems like we have ten more looking to kill us or take this Freeport for themselves. Bretonia is looming like a storm cloud, and I've got the Black Sails telling me they don't care what their weapons do - their piracy is more important then ruptured hull panels or dead children. Not something i really agree with, but hey, I'm biased.
The H-Fuel & Deuterium would be much appreciated. Just give me the details, and we can arrange shipments.
As for me - the election continues. Either way, the only other man in the running is Locatelli, and i know him, he wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Thanks for extending your hand Jeremy - it couldn't have been easy, and being as down on the ground as we are, you have no idea how appreciative we are.
