Steiner looks down to where the capsule had rolled onto the floor. She taps it with her foot, toying with it.
Steiner turns to one of the solders.
Give him the pill. If he wants to take it, that only makes our job easier.
One of the men nods and crouches down, keeping his eyes on Bauer the whole time. Picking up the pill, he lifts it up and silently drops it into Bauer's hand.
Steiner leans over Reichert, taking the opportunity to strap him into the chair while he is stunned. She straps him down securely, tightening the straps uncomfortably. After she is done, she stands back and admirers her handiwork before pulling out the needle she had offered the agents before. Slowly and carefully, she pierces the skin, ingecting the strange serum into the agent. Turning to the guards Steiner remarks:
[color=#CCFFFF]Its time for this one. Wheel him into the operating room.
Two of the guards step forward.
[color=#CCFFFF]Yes ma'am.
They wheel the now incoherent agent into the back room, both watching with a sadistic glee (though you couldn't tell it from their masks) as his conscientiousness slowly faded from the realm of sanity.
As he slowly bobbed in and out of reality, Reichert looked around the opperating room, trying to find something to lock onto, something to recongnise. The last thing he saw before passing out was a toothy grin and a pair of brown eyes.
The operating room was equipped with a high-tech surveillance system; several cameras were serving as the eyes of an observatory staff, located in another gloomy part of the station. An officer, wearing a dark green uniform with black stripes has been monitoring the process the Agents had to endure, he glanced at the projected image of the operating room with a grim look under his visor cap. As Bauer took the pill, he folded his arms behind his back and took a deep breath, assuming a dramatic and unnecessarily ostentatious pose.
"Agents... these are Agents of the most elite intelligence force known to mankind," his neutral expression shifted into a mild frown, "screaming and fighting as if they were some sort of children, right before getting their flu vaccine."
Concluding his thought process, he shook his head and stepped closer to the projected live feed coming in from the operating room. As he stepped closer, reflections erupting from the device shone their light on the officer's medals, placed on the coat covering his chest.
"Years ago, my men would have willingly sat down and let themselves be cut up by anyone if they knew it would serve Rheinland... I suspected I would feel pity or remorse, yet all I feel is distaste and disgust. What has this organization come to?"
A scientist, one who was covering his face with a mask, seemingly untouched by the monologue of the officer replied:
"Their behavior pattern is likely the result of xenomorph intrusion into the cerebral cortex. We have observed personality changes in cases of past exposures to the code blue influence, even when it was temporary and indirect."
The expression of the officer remained unchanged. His sight glanced at the different parts of the operating room he was observing, then hardly noticeably, let off a sigh, looking down at his feet.
"My men... my soldiers."
Slowly, he shook his head again, then quickly looked up and turned around, waving at the projection.
"Write them both off as having gone MIA in the Sigma sector. Whether the other one survives or not is irrelevant, we cannot use personnel like this in our upcoming operations. Oh and..."
He paused, taking a brief look at the scientist, who was noting the orders of the officer.
"Make sure nothing like this ever happens again. I want that list distributed among all Schatten and MND personnel, as well as the Black Legion guards."
*The doctors begin their work on Reichert, slowly cutting him open. At first with a scalpel and then with a bonesaw*
"Lets see what we find inside that one" mumbles one of them.
*Having finished all the "preperations" the team begins to look around in Reicherts intestines*
"Hm, pity, looks clean so fa...wait, what is that? I see something blue in there, right above the heart, suck that blood off there, we need a better look at that!" utters one of the assistants.
*The slurping sound of the aspirator device echos in room and after several seconds a thin blue wire comes to light, running from his heart to his spinal cord and further up from there*
"Herr Doctor how should we proceed? Asks the assistant, holding a pair of scissors in his hand.
