I havent been into HL2 modding myself. I could probably stand to learn a thing or two.

I dont know who out there is equally interested in Freelancer and HL2 enough to consider such a crossover mod?

More than just a crossover - but a fully linked persistent mod.

Start with maybe one linked base as a test. Build it from there.

You can only have 200 people in space, but potentially how many people could be Planetside at the same time?

Just a thought.

I've always thought it would be AMAZING to somehow mod an online fps to play side by side Freelancer. I don't know the first thing about modding though, so blah.

Wasn't that Mace Griffin game sorta like that? Space and ground combat? Never played it.

Oddly enough, Ironwatsas was in the mood for something like this, too. There are a lot of neat maps and we could use currently existing player models for characters. The real fun would be having a city set up that and swap about every now and then. Factions can 'borrow' the server for their own planned roleplays.

It's not that great of an add-on to Gmod. Trust me.
