There is a nation, so proud and free, in the southeastern corner of Sirius. It has been there for a long time, yet the forces of darkness constantly attempt to engulf it in shadows. The people march, hand in hand, against the nation's enemies, ready to fight all the time, to the Kanzer loyal against all odds. Yet, the enemies of this great nation, the enemies of Rheinland persist. Once a serpent is slain, two show up and again, it has been the case.
The forces of 'Liberty' have been pushing their offensive war against Rheinland for years now, with no success thanks to the valiant efforts of our brave soldiers. Their naming is indeed quite ironic, as not only do they seek to conquer and push their peaceful neighbors into slavery, but most of the Liberty populace, if not everyone, is a slave to the ill substance known as 'cardamine.'
Communism, a theoretical not material cancer, is used as a justification for piracy and murder done by thousands of criminals residing in the Omega region, among them the cannibalistic Corsairs, the treacherous Red Hessians and the nightmarish SCRA.
The heroes of the Rheinland Military have been keeping this ilk at bay, saving millions of not only Rheinland descent, but Bretonian and Kusarian as well. On several occasions, it was the Rheinland Military that saved Omega-3 from being entirely overrun by Corsairs or Coalition forces, while the Bretonian Army sat idly and let our own men bleed for their space.
The reward for our sacrifice was nothing but a stab in the back! The Bretonians have given military technology to Liberty with which they killed dozens, hundreds of our soldiers in the field. Bretonian vessels were used to sink Rheinland cruisers. Bretonian guns were used to murder women and children on board captured Rheinland civilian ships. Bretonian devices were used to torture Rheinland captives to death in Libertonian prisons. Yet, our government was forgiving. The only measure Rheinland took was seeing to Bretonia not getting a chance to export Rheinland military vehicles to Liberty, a very slight compensation for all the lives taken by Bretonian equipment.
No, it's never enough for Bretonia. Little after the restriction was put in place, they decided to disregard it and send a whole convoy of Bowex smugglers into our Vaterland who were caught and forced to pay a fine, one the Bretonians refused to actually pay. When our politicians attempted negotiating, their response was to ban all Rheinland traffic from Bretonia. The consequences of that act were obvious.
And finally, the beast has shown its true face.
A fleet was pulled into Omega-3, wherein a Rheinland installation operated by a brave and hard-working Daumann crew exists. The fleet was not solely of Bretonian origin, the Imperialists conjured up their cardamine-junkie allies, the Libertonians and the red terrorists of the Omega region. This combined fleet of darkness attempted besieging Rugen, yet the defenders of the station resisted until the marauders were pushed back to the Cambridge jump gate by the arriving Rheinwehr patriots.
Near the gate, Vizeadmiral Hans Putzkammer, a decorated war hero and an excellent officer of the Rheinwehr, attempted commencing negotiations with the Bretonians who treacherously opened fire in the middle of his proposal. The enemy fleet was pushed back to Bretonia thanks to the valiant sacrifices of our soldiers, but the communists and some mercenaries they hired persisted to round off, encircle and shoot down Rheinwehr vessels.
Once they themselves became encircled, they have taken up residence in Freeport 1, with the approval of the station's personnel, who even called for the Coalition in specific. With a swift bombardment, the terrorists were eliminated with minimal civilian casualties. Omega-3 was secure once again, free of the dark hand of imperialism, communism, treason and mischief.
However, this was one mere fight out of a million we might have to conduct against the ravenous hordes of Bretonia. Rheinland must stand alone and strong against the tides of the universe, what our ancestors fought and died for, we will win. We cannot and will not let Rheinland become a slave to the Imperialist Bretonia, the cardamine-addicted Liberty and the murderous ideals of communism.
Help our soldiers! Help the Vaterland!
