Hopes are up in Bretonia today as reports come in of joint BAF/LN successful actions.

After yesterday's crippling joint Kusari-Rheinland attack drove the Bretonian eastern fleet out of Cambridge; Rheinland forces moved with a new confidence, dispatching heavily armed BDM capital strike forces throughout Leeds and Magellen, to interdict and destroy Liberty-Bretonian shipping.

The Bretonian merchant navy, under the [Convoy] designation, moved to eliminate this threat to one of Bretonia's last open trade routes, and along with our source ship, the BAF-employed freelancer; "Hone Nathan", tracked and attacked a BDM VHF (Very Heavy Fighter, for those members of the public not familiar with space-speak) and GB (Gunboat) interdiction team in the Magellen system.

However the battle again did not go well for the Bretonians, with BDM forces scrambling reinforcements, consisting of another GB capital support ship, aswell as snub strike craft. The bolstered Rheinland force pushed the outnumbered Bretonian forces back into Leeds, and there, it happened: Once again, as Rheinland strengthened its own force, a foreign Battleship, a mighty beast of war, capable of rending entire fleets to shreds, jumped from the wormhole behind Bretonian forces. However, the shadow it shed, did not darken the faces of the Bretonians, for this was no Kusari Monster, but the LNS Dreadnought Maryland
In an ironic reversal of yesterday's debacle, the LNS Dread ripped into the Rheinland forces, scattering the snubcraft, and sending them fleeing for their lives. However, as seems to be the fate in this Omega Conflict; It was a pyrrhic victory for the Bretonians, as although one BDM Gunboat was destroyed, so was the Merchant Marine GB: HMS-Cambridge.

The second BDM GB was hunted down by our source ship, "Hone Nathan" into liberty itself! Where it was ambushed by a group of Liberty Rogues, and destroyed

BAF officials deny working with Liberty Rogues, saying;
"Everyone in Liberty carries a gun, that spy was crazy to enter there, if he hadn't been killed by us, he would have had his ship stolen from him mid-flight!"

However, despite their failures, Rheinland is clearly not deterred, our reporters picked up a Rheinland attack on Bretonian civilian shipping in the Newcastle system last night.

Several things can be concluded from this action; first, that Rheinland is not afraid to enter Bretonian core space, and is intent on hurting Bretonia in any way it can, although it comes as no surprise that they are targeting Bowex, as many feel Bowex to be the instigators of this war.
Rheinland is also clearly using its war with Bretonia to attack Liberty from a new direction, through Bretonian space.


The success of both Joint-Operations clearly underlines the effectiveness of House Co-operation, and while many believe the salvation of Bretonia lies with Liberty, some also claim that without Liberty declaring war on Kusari, Bretonia cannot hope to hold out against both the North, and the East.
Certainly, Bretonia having it's supply lines to Liberty cut off, could lead to a...
