armor multiple your hull also on vannila ships,but when sunslayer hit your guardian, it has some blast radius in explosion and vannila ships have multiple hardpoints, and when more hardpoints are in range of the explosion( i think on sunslayer is that 16m) then all hardpoints have the same damage. for example 5hardpoints in range,then hit make sunslayers damage(i think somethin about 4800) x5 and that is something about 24000.
the same for nuclear mines.
Example: Starflyer: It has 2 destructible wings... If a missile with 300 dmg hits a starflyer, 300 damage goes to hull, 300 to left wing and 300 to right wing - 900 dmg together... If you had a non-vanilla ship, you would get only 300 damage..
it makes the vanilla ships die at the whiff of a missile... its really frustrating. REALLY FRUSTRATING. eagle with mkviii armor gets killed by a single salvo of 2 missiles.
Vanilla ships rule. It's how it should be.
New ships are bugged, not the old ones.
