It's been discussed up and down what Border Worlds ships are. Civilian? Pirate? What? The infocards are vague, but only suggest that Border Worlds factions use and build them. That would include the Zoners, primarily, even over factions like the Outcasts and Hessians.
However, there are no BW ships sold on Zoner bases, except for maybe the BWT. When I researched the reason behind this, all I could discover is that the admins told someone (simply), that they weren't there because they didn't want Corsairs thinking they could fly them.
We have a tech chart now, and as an older topic brought out, why can't we have them on Zoner bases? It makes total sense within RP. So here's my question:
I know you devs all are sworn to secrecy and whatnot, but can you tell us if BW ships are getting put on Zoner (or Junker bases, like the BW Waran) bases? I don't think that's really giving anything away..
EDIT: For those of us who aren't trained in the subtle art of sarcasm, the above comment was laced with it. I asked a valid question. If a dev believes answering it is alright, they can. It's not like I'm sitting her going "OMG, MAKE CAPS STRONGER AND NURF MISSILE AND MAKE BOMERS HAVE ..." etc.
Borderworld line is more or less civilian unlawful, with the stipulation that Corsairs may not use em. Come 4.86 it won't be much of an issue anymore since everyone's favorite fighter, the Sabre, is getting a nice old maneuverability nerf which will probably bring it to the level of standard civvy ships.
Most factions that rely on the Borderworlds line historically already have a line of their own. Outcasts being the notable exception. But last I heared, 101st was working on that one.

It's a simple question.
There was no sarcasm in my post. Everyone wants to know something, everyone wants to ask some question, and really the Dev team isn't supposed to be giving out information. It gets tiring. We still have a ways to go, and I cant think of a single reason why this would be important to anyone.
Dooods from BW make ships, OC's and Hessians and who not acquire the schematics and build the ships using their facilities their tech essentially making it theirs but it is still a BW vessel let's say Sabre by shape, point of origin and classification. Real world example with a craft having the same name

I would think the manufacturing of border worlds ships mimics that of the AK-47 in the present day. Many groups including mercenaries manufacture them for all sorts of purposes, lawful or otherwise, but some choose to not use them at all.
OSI builds them in role play. We'll also sell them to most everyone in role play.
The Border Worlds ships are their very own line of civilian ships. They have their own column on the Tech chart. It has been said in the past, the act of setting up your character can be considered ooRP due to the fact that some IDs are green cell to tech that would be ooRP for them to get due to the fact it was only placed on a certain base. I assume many of such errors or mistakes will be rectified with 4.86. However, 4.86 isn't here, still.

Get a dictionary and look up sarcasm.
He was talking about his own comment being sarcasm, Zelot.
