::Journal entry number 1:: It begins

Well, I've finally decided to start a journal. Dad convinced me to start one, he said he wanted to read of my exploits after I was either captured by pirates and never heard from again, or if someone killed me in a drunken brawl on some station. Dad, what a jokester, *hehe*. I guess I should start this journal off by giving a short autobiography. I was born in the year 790 A.S and was raised in a small agricultural town on Denver called Griggs. Talk about boring, the only thing to ever happen there was the occasional trader stopping in to pick up a shipment of various foods and vegetables. Life was boring as hell, I had to find SOMETHING to do, so I learned how to cook, even went to a culinary school for about a year when I was 18. But my boring life was about to change.

Today me and my best friend John Shaw were accepted onto the crew of his uncle Elias' Freighter, the Ord Ranch. Me and John had a bad habit of bugging his uncle to give us jobs on his ship whenever he made a stop in Griggs. He finally caved. Elias says that we'll be transporting Neon to Aomori Station in the Honshu system for the foreseeable future. He says that he's got a contract with some important GMG rep.

That's enough of an entry for today, prelaunch checks have been initiated and we're ready to launch. I gotta prepare the food for the crew, ugh.. At least it's a way off of Denver.

::Journal entry number 2::

We've finally arrived at Planet Erie, the ship is currently docked on the mooring platform. What a long two days that was! I met the other crew members of the Ord Ranch after we left Denver. There's Joshua Lagan, the pilot, rudest piece of work I've ever met. A selfcentered, egomaniac, narcissist, jackhole. Then there's Amelia Brant, the engineer. She's nice enough I guess, mainly keeps to herself. And finally there's Elias Shaw the Captain of the ship. I've known him all my life, he's like a second father to me.

Me and John were ordered by Elias to watch the ship as Him, Joshua and Amelia went planetside to pick up the Neon shipment. Pretty boring assignment. After an hour of waiting I decided to head to the bar on the mooring platform, not much of a bar. A servo droid and a couple of old star pilots is all. Dreams of finding a lady immediately died out. I decided to order a Liberty Ale, like I had much of a choice.

About 30 minutes later the crew came back with the Neon. I downed the last of my drink and reboarded the ship. We are now enroute to Aomori Station in the Honshu system. ETA is 5 days.

Captain needs me for something, guess I'll end the entry here.
