Sian takes out a lighter out of her top pocket and offers it to Miranda.
Shrugging off the comments about transplants, she asks: "What led to you being fired Miranda? You come across as the dependable type, so I doubt it was ability for the job."
Miranda rejected the offer. The cig box had an applied lighter inside which worked when you pushed the cig further in and then drawing it out.
"Inappropriate conduct." She said only, clearly not feeling comfortable enough to elaborate. Then she inhaled deeply, enjoying the taste of her cigarette.
Noticing the tone in Miranda's voice, Sian moves to a hushed one herself:"With your boss? Was it politically complicated? I mean... having sex with your boss isn't in and of itself a bad thing."Sian wears an expression that shows concern, curiosity and surprise simultaneously.
Miranda didn't seem ashamed to talk about it, she was only uncomfortable. She exhaled deeply the smoke upwards momentarily covering her entire face except her nose and her nose piercing.
"It is generally frowned up, Sian. And in my case they could claim that I received preferential treatment."
She had moved very close to Sian while she was regularly checking the empty hallway leading to Blue Lion.
Catching a whiff of both Miranda's tobacco and it mixing with the Tobacco of her own Rheinland produced brand, Sian coughs hard before speaking.
"It is?! I mean, urrr... yeah it is but it only leads to trouble if someone takes up beef with it." Cursing herself for being Naive on such subjects, she takes a smoke and a sip of the Eagle juice still in her hand. 'This drink is still disgusting,' she thought to herself, before noticing Miranda's constant checking of the hallway.
"Ah, don't worry."She whispers, so as not to hurt Sullivan's feelings. "This place doesn't get that busy".
Miranda notices some juice on Sian's chick and gently removes it. However, she now turns her head while smoking.
"I suppose the place will get flooded when the convoy arrives. It shouldn't be long now. Bloody hell, waiting made me extremely tired. I am not really in the mood to escort tonight."
She checked Sian once more and giggled.
"At least I am happy you're done with you mission for the day."
"Ah, thank you."Blushing slightly, Sian checks nothing else was left on her cheeks.
"Done flying for the day, but I've got plenty of Hanger work to get through. I don't particularly trust those new engineers in Hanger D2 with my bird. Especially after tweaking those converter filters in t...." Cutting herself short, Sian gives a chuckle."I hope they haven't touched it yet."
"Your schedule too busy? You can always petition to move shifts if you feel your current schedule is too draining. Just ready yourself for a chat with 'Clarku' *imitating Kusarian tones* if so."
Coming to the end of her cigarette, she places the butt in the dispenser then pours what's left of the Eagle Juice on it. "About all it's good for."
"I tried to warn you but you were not exactly paying attention."
A few seconds afterwards warning alarms could be heard coming from the docking bays. Miranda checked the time from her phone while finishing her smoke.
"Apparently, my convoy has just arrived. They are not going to hang aroung long since they want to reduce their initial delay. I hate to say this but I should go now. Sian you're awesome, we should hang around more often..."
She hugged the sergeant and turned around to leave.
"I will be staying at New London for the next two weeks. Unless an urgent convoy comes up, of course."
