While Loraine was residing within Gallic borders, she was a freelancing escort, protecting any traders in the area from being pirated. This meant from time to time, Loraine was opposed to corrupt Police officials. over the years, Loraine and her wingmen got quite a reputation within the corrupt Police. During a job, the police ambushed the cargo ship she was defending. The Cargo ship decided to run, forcing Loraine and her wingmen to follow. The corrupt police ambushers were quick to disrupt the cruise engines of the fighter ships. in the short fight that followed, all but one of Loraine's wingmen's ships were destroyed. With Loraine floating in space in her ejection pod, she was collected by her wingman "Claire Lelouch". Claire, the last fighter still remaining operational, fled in the only direction she could go...the council. the police ships followed as far as they could, but after a time, one of them sent a message to Loraine, stating that if she stayed in Gallic space, her family would be killed. fearing for her family's lives, and for her friends, she agreed to Claire's plan to leave Gallic space through the minefield.


Claire dropped her wingmen off at "Reunion" station, which inclueded Loraine, and headed off on her own. Loraine stayed in contact with Claire, who informed Loraine that she was returning to collect them, Loraine hurriedly got her things together. in the time of inactivity, and drifting from base to base, which is undocumented in this report, Loraine had become very interested in scientific endevours. The visit Claire had promised had not gone as planned, as her arrival in the area sparked "Battle of Tau-23" between Corona Battlegroup and Kusari Naval forces. After the battle, Loraine was able to join the Battlegroup as one of the researchers, and has been one of their most diligent works since her induction. Due to her old habbits from her freelancing days, she sometimes yerned to fly in combat. She secretly flew the ship [CLASSIFIED] , but after she was nearly destroyed, Loraine has decided to not fly as a combat pilot. She retained her rank though, due to the involvement in the battle of [CLASSIFIED]
