This is Free Network Sirius with exclusive coverage from the battle between Rheinland and Liberty in Bering today.
Apparently, Liberty tried to supply the captured battleship Westfalen in Hamburg with much-needed goods through Bering. They decided to give those transports full capital ship support for the journey to Hamburg.
Right as the Fleet gathered to jump to Hamburg, they were caught by surprise when a Rheinland bomber wing intercepted the transport and shot it down in short time.
The liberty fleet decided to move to Freeport 2 after that, where they gathered their forces to prepare for the coming attack by the Rheinland fleet.
In the meantime, the Rheinland Military smartly brought numerous fighters and bombers to the battle with only minimal capital ship support.
The Tanner asteroid belt hindered the liberty capital ships severly whereas Rheinlands bombers had no problem hitting them with their antimatter cannons. Soon, the Liberty Navy had to retreat and numerous ships were destroyed.
After the capital ships were destroyed or had retreated, there were still several LSF agents and Fleet Admiral David Hale left in the system. This fighter wing slowly but surely manage to drive the Military forces out of Bering.
There were also two Zoners in the system, who were severly angered by the breach of the No Fire Zone around their Freeport, but nobody quite listened to them.
