"Get moving slave!" A man sporting a rifle jammed the stock into the woman's back. She fell to the ground, rolling onto her side to protect her unborn child. The woman stayed on the ground, sobbing as the man picked her up and pushed her back in line.
The year was 796 A.S. Amelia Starr was the wife of Ethan Starr, an independent shipping contractor. Things seemed to be looking up for them, Amelia was pregnant and Ethan was hired for the deal of a lifetime. However, the route that they needed to take for the delivery traveled through hostile space. They knew it was dangerous, but they decided to go anyways.
The trip went without a hitch, until the transport entered Omega-41. Before the ship could regain controls after the jump, they were boarded. The transport crew refused to go without a fight. The battle raged for hours before the raiders declared victory, with Ethan dying in the fight. During the fight, Amelia hid in the captain's room until she was found by the raiders. They moved the survivors, Amelia included, to the The Mantilatiana, a renewed Slave Liner. After days of traveling, they reached a makeshift bio-dome on a small moon, where the newly dubbed slaves were corralled into an auction house like sheep. Amelia was purchased by a man who owned an illegal diamond mining group in Omega-11.
A few months of past, and they have taken a toll on Amelia. Even though she was 9 months pregnant, the guards work her as hard as anybody else. Amelia ever stopped mourning her husband's death. Se never made any friends because of this.
Amelia was hard at work, swinging a pickaxe in a line of other slaves. The guards would walk past every so often, barking orders to work harder or to stop slacking. Every so often, Amelia would double over in pain, receiving an order to get back to work each time. Eventually, Amelia collapsed to the floor, and was taken back to the slave housing. Hours later, Carolina Starr was born.
