*** HACKED SIGNAL INTERRUPTING ALL PUBLIC TRANSMISSIONS ***
[font=Book Antiqua][color=#000000]
[color=#999999]The screen shows the image of a woman with hispanic features, a stern look on her face; the camera is catching her in front of a metallic wall, suggesting that the video comes from a ship or station. The woman finishes loading a handgun, the looks into the camera.
Greetings, citizens of Sirius. It's Cerberus speaking to you; some of you already know us, some others know of us only what it has been told them; many more are still oblivious to our presence. To all of you, I say: Cerberus is your friend. We are here to protect you, all of you. We are here to defend all Humanity from the menaces that threaten it.
Many of you may be asking, what menaces? Sadly, there are far more dangers out there, in the cold reaches of space, than your governments would want you to be aware of. Deadly, cunning aliens, for whom humanity is merely an obstacle to remove. Or, sometimes, a tool for their schemes.
[color=#999999]The image blurs a bit as the camera quickly turns to point at the opposite side of the room. a group of soldiers is forming what seems to be an execution platoon; in front of them, thirty men are lined up along the wall, muzzled, blindfolded and tied with steel restraints. Many of the captives are wearing rheinland military uniforms, while the rest seem to be composed of civilians of various origins. The woman that was previously speaking enters again in sight of the camera, and makes a gesture to the soldiers. Two of them leave the platoon and quickly pick up one of the captives with rheinland uniform, dragging him by the arms and making him kneel down in front of the woman. The captive looks up to her, and as she points her gun to his head, his eyes shine with a purple light.
The woman fires.
Look, good citizens. Look closely and recognize what threatens your lives, your families, your homes, and all your future.
The camera zooms on what remains of the captive's head; amidst the blood splattered hair and the greyish chunks of brain tissue, a dark purple liquid is slowly leaking. The woman wears a protective glove on her left hand and digs into the open skull, pulling out what looks like a purple jellyfish, its tentacles still faintly withering. She holds the thing high in front of the camera.
Slomon K'hara. That's how they call themselves. We better know them as Nomads. Yes, those same Nomads that brought our entire civilization on the brink of self destruction only a few years ago. Your governments, the ones that you elected in order to protect you, would want you to believe that the danger is gone. It is not. The Nomads are still out there, lurking, possessing innocent humans to infiltrate our societies, to instill fear and suspect, and once again, to make human kill human.
Cerberus will not allow it. HUMANITY FIRST!
The woman fires at the jelly thing; one second later, the plotoon fires on the rest of the captives.
Zapping through the channels on his board computer at the Atlas, a interuption suddenly appears. David Lennox looks at the screen while drinking his coffee, wondering what it is. As he sees the man infront of the camera gets shot he spits out the coffee. "What the hell?" He sees the nomad the woman pulls out and leans back sighing. As the other people in the Rheinland uniforms get shot he nods but also feels sorry for the infected that there hasn't been another solution. The normal channels of the net TV return back on the screen as he continues zapping through.
Copper was sitting at her side in the booth and poured another dose of whisky.
"Ya know. I had one of those jelly fishes trying to get into my head the other day."
She said. Copper eyed her suspiciously.
"No worries. I had more booze in my system than a whole Jack Daniels bottle. The thing would die on contact. Well. It did. When it made contact with my Supernova."
They suddenly shared a laugh and resumed their 'work'.
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:12:00] Traxit: this is smut stop
A man is sleeping in front of his screen, he looks like he fell asleep right in front of it after a hard day's work. The small room he is in seems to be on a space station, probably Freistadt in Omega-7. The metal walls make it rather dark, as a dimmed window let's in just little of the orange light which is emitted from the Walker Nebula and the lights are turned off. A small desk is in front of the window, some things lie on it. Only the bed where he is sleeping is in the room, besides the desk. There is not much more space. The screen on the wall flickers with pictures of a movie, as the stream is interrupted and a weird transmission starts showing. As a gun goes off in the transmission, the man awakens...
Who...
Half asleep, realizing it was gunfire that awakened him, he grabs his weapon and looks around, quickly hearing that it came from the transmission being shown.
What is this... That's quite some violent movie they're showing there. Looks damn real. Heh... ... Wait, it is real?! Some vid 'bout those "Nomads", what?
The platoon opens fire on the rest of the captatives and the screen loses the signal.
What the hell?! That's some crazy stuff... I knew they could influence humans somehow...but this...bah...an' who allowed this disgusting transmission to be send through the networks...
Turning off the screen he notices that he was just talking to himself. He puts his gun away, gets up, takes something from the desk and, after taking another look through the room, he leaves.
Meanwhile, in the Samarran Raiders Headquarters, Jediah Bayne was scrolling through all messages and transmissions directed at the Raiders' public channel.
"Yesterday's cardamine income, yesterday's slaves income, destruction logs...spam...spam...spam...PORNOGRAPHY?! Oh wait, this is actually nice...Hmm."
Fifteen minutes later, a strange public transmission caught his eye, and he opened the link.
"Some strange guys, hmm, protecting us...right...if I had a credit for every time I-..." - His eyes opened up wide as he observed the explicit scenes, and his blood boiled as he looked at those "protectors" slaughter the beings he considered holy.
Two of the younger Raiders walked into the room, and Jediah severed the transmission to save them of the unpleasant sights, while thinking how to exact revenge on these murderers.
