I swear, I have to get a better bed. This one feels like a bloody rock.
He walks over to his personal neural net station, booting it up while he changes. Eying the Metropolis ship status while the computer boots up, he notices something out of the norm. A new window had appeared on the Screen.
What the? VCS-Nightmare? That must have been one of the support destroyers....
Blain opens up the window, peering at the text
Code:
VCS-Nightmare
Status: Unknown
Location: Unable to Triangulate, Galileo
Notes: Emergency Beacon Active. No further information.
Hrm. Galileo. Looks like its time to take a trip.
He gets up, and walks over to the the door, opening and stepping into the hallway. Walking briskly towards the hangar. He jumps into his sabre, powering it up and launching out of the Metropolis at high speed. Freddy, who is landing, sees this and opens a channel to Blain
Freddy: Yo boss, whacha up to?
Blain: Graham, once you land, get to the bridge, and tell Miles to get the Metropolis to Galileo ASAP. Tell him I may have a lead on the VCS-Nightmare.
Freddy: Sure thing boss.
30 minutes later
Blain jumped into Galileo, activating his comm link
VCS-Nightmare, this is Overlord Blain Spike, you copy?

Moka was on his way back from an important business adventure when his long range scanners picked up an unusual signal. It appeared to be some kind of location signal, but it was vague and inaccurate. "Bah, just another lost soul caught in our web" Moka chuckled to himself. It wasn't unusual for many a trader to get caught up by the Rogues in Galileo, it was a revered hunting spot and very profitable. Police activity was minimal out here and the only other pirates were Hackers who barely ventured out of their rock.
He carried on towards his head quarters, out in a remote system labelled Cassini. His destroyer, Quietly Confident, was orbiting the Rogues gem of their industrial advancements, Terre Haute. As he was nearing the secluded jump hole, a contact blipped onto his scanners.
The signature was weak but certainly identifiable. A Vagrant Raiders vessel was just on the edge of scanner range and Moka was able to pick up muted voice comms from the vessel. He over heard something about a missing ship and decided he would go investigate. After all, the Raiders were friendlies and using the Rogue technology.
As Moka approached the seemingly lost vessel, he hailed it.
Blain was cruising around, hoping to get a answer from the Nightmare, but getting nothing
I swear, if someone was fooling with my Computer just to lead me on a wild goose chase, I will have their spine ripped out.
He turns around, sweeping for another pass in the dense radiation cloud, suddenly picking up what appeared to be a rogue snubcraft. Hearing the faint voice, he assumed the rogue was trying to Communicate with him. Spinning the sabre 90 degrees, he flew towards the direction of the Rogue
Yo, Blain Spike here, Sorry if it seems strange I am out this far from Liberty, but I received a distress call from one of the Raider Destroyers, which has been missing for quite a while now. Seen it?

Moka was intrigued. "A cruiser ya say? I seen plenty of Scyllas but none bearing a Raiders tag. Is that what this weak signal is?"
Moka checks over his scanners again and tries to align his equipment to try and hone in on the bare signal his gear was receiving. "Want a hand finding it, Spike?"
Er, Its a Outcast made Storta, heavily modified by the Raider Tech experts. As for the offer, sure. I called in the Metropolis to assist in the search, the scanners aboard could pinpoint a single speck of Guardian a System away.

Moka nodded and proceed to head towards the sectors on the far side of the system. There wasn't much there, the Raiden Cloud was just an expansive radioactive field with few and rare treasures to be explored. Moka traverses the field until his radioactivity alarm starts to buzz, and then proceeds back towards the Cassini jump hole.
"Metropolis? Your flag ship, isn't it?" Moka asks over the comms
Yup. She is one fine piece of equipment, Pimped out with all the newest tech money can buy. Petrucci spared no expense, damn I miss him. Anyway, Im going to search grid 2E for the Nightmare, catcha later.
Blain Maneuvered his Sabre to the Highlighted grid, to be met with a broken off chunk of what seemed to be a Light Mortar. After searching a bit, he found the main wreck of the Nightmare. Radioing the Metropolis, and Moka, the two ships formed a perimeter around the wrecked Storta.
So, Here it is. Damn, she looks like she took quite a beating...Moka, how about ye come on-board the Metropolis while my men attempt to re-pressurize the Nightmare for a grand tour of destruction?
Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts... perhaps the fear of a loss of power.
Moka's ship moors with the Metropolis, and he then disembarks and joins Blain in-board.
After going over the state of the Nightmare, Moka suggests an offer
"We have a facility near here I could allow you to use to make the necessary repairs.
Tee Aich is what we call her around here, and she fares everything you need to repair that Storta."
