The The Adventures of Tintin will set us on a treasure hunt with a young reporter named TinTin. The plot is pretty generic, 3 clues are left behind, when found they give out the secret coordinates to the treasure. Once the treasure is found, the 4th clue is discovered, which gives out a secret location to the even bigger treasure. That would be in part 2 of TinTin adventures.
The budget of the movie is 140 million dollars, which is totally justified by the computer animation, but not the cartoon itself. I would assume that all the money went into rendering and modeling this beautiful cartoon. I wish Steven would direct a long space adventure, actually he is already doing it, Avatar 2 and 3. I am not totally blown out of my panties by this cartoon, it came across as a little too simple and childish, but the computer animation was a blast. I can safely say that this is not the best work of Steven, but it is not bad either, kind of so-so. I can also say that Ice Age was better just because it was funny and more original.
My overall scores for this cartoon on the scale of 10 are:
6.5 - Story and originality
10 - Computer Animation
Would I spent real money and gone to the theater to watch it? I would have to say yes, but with a spiked up Coca-Cola, otherwise I would've been like: "Oh..shieeet...."
