Help setting up a server

Can anyone walk me through setting up a server? I have FL and Discovery installed and activated through FLMM. I can host the server via FLserver and I can see the server in FL and has a compatible version, but it won't let me join. Help would be appreciated.

thanks man, I ended up getting it working with Hamachi, but not with the normal connection. Oh well, I prefer Hamachi anyways:P
