Guten Tag Oberst,
during my patrol yesterday I got an Zoner on ze TLM screen.
At zis moment zere was a skirmish in Hamburg, where ze ship entered.
Ze captain was informed about it and I continued my patrol in Frankfurt.
Some minutes later, I got him on scanners, leaving ze Westerwald. Ze captain was stopped and informed about his violation. As you can see in ze attachment, ze captain WAS AWARE of his violation.
Personal note: How dare zey doing it zen?
Instead of destroying ze captain I decided to delete his ship logs at ze Nibelung Polizei Plaza. (Ze way to Vierlande wasn't safe due ze aforementioned skirmish).
Unfortunaly, he wasn't able to dock due our security protocols. Ze captain was ordered to forget what he has seen and was allowed to leave Rheinland.
Now I would like to hear why [TAZ] captains do that and if the captain has already informed you about this incident.
This is not really helpful for the zoner request to supply Freeport 2 when comming from Rheinland, especially because he was aware of ze paragraph, which he violated.
Please note: A readonly copy of this channel is also sent to the Rheinwehr Oberkommando due security reasons.

Guten Tag, Sir,
I have been reviewing the evidence provided and after comparing it to my records, that ship has yet to be filed on my roster. This is exactly why I tell my people to do this, so that I know who to go after should something like this happens. Needless to say, I am not pleased with whoever the captain was. Trust me, they'll hear it from me. I've been in a rather sour mood of late since the passing of our founder.
Its not a good excuse but I do have some new popes in my ranks that may well not be informed of Rheinland laws. As I will be here for awhile, all of my personnel will get a reminder.
I also know that many of my transport pilots try to do their part to ship needed goods to the Zoners of Freeport 2. While we have no authority there, we do keep medical people there and feel we must do our part to supply them. In the past, I've instructed them to keep it to basic commodities, deuterium and our own pineal amulets. If this is against your law, I apologize. Those same pilots feel that Rheinland has done a better job in controlling piracy in it's space so they sometimes take that route.
Also, we enjoy our business ties there, often bringing iridium to The Ring and leaving Oder Shipyard with Rheinland engine components for Gran Canaria. There are other goods we like to buy there as well.
I would like to clear this matter up between us to keep a good, working relationship. I will pay the fine, whatever it is, to whatever account you wish. For now, it's really all I can offer, that and updating my records. If this is satisfactory, let me know. If more is needed, let me know that as well.

Sehr geehrter Dr. Holliday,
at first let me thank you for the fast response.
As you stated right, this is <strike>a bad</strike> not a good excuse. The captain may be new, but, as mentioned, he was entirely aware that he was broken our laws. This is, in addition to the warning he got before in hamburg, a double impertinence.
The whole problem here is the compensation for the violation. By determination of the Rheinland Bundestag a violation of restricted areas has to be dealt with death. Due the good relations between Rheinland and the Temporary Autonomous Zoners the officer was not willing to destroy the the ship and kill the captain, at least because the captain complied completly with his orders.
Unfortunately a promise to be silent wouldn't be enough. There are enough hostile forces out there, who can capture the ship and/or torture the captain. In result of this I'd suggest the following solution:
The captain will be exchanged and maybe command another ship. The current ship, callsign [TAZ]Eristic.Escalation, will return to Rheinland and be awaited from official forces[1] at the borders. The captain will move the ship to the next shipyard[2] in Rheinland. And dock[3] at it. The employees will complete clear the logs and systems, of said ship, from all data, collected in the restricted areas. The evidence of said action has to be sent to this channel within one week.
Additional to this, the [TAZ] will transfer 20% of the ship worth, which is, according to my informations something about 130 Mio sirius credits. So this results in an additional fine of [color=#FF9900]26.000.000 sc and has to be transfered to the [color=#33CC00]RFP|Arsenal.
I'm sure I haven't to mentioned, if you don't agree with this solution, the callsign will be added to the Rheinland criminal database with a death sentence and the relations between Rheinland and the [TAZ]will suffer.
On a second note:
Because I can understand the need of supplying Freeport 2 with (medical) goods, I have to mention, this would violate the embargo rules. If Freeport 2 really needs supplies, you can contract corporations, which are allowed to pass the Liberty borders with said goods. (e.g. Cryer hauling pharmaceuticals) Please note, human transports are free to pass.
Because I don't see a correlation between pineal amulets and the war support, I would recommend you contact the Rheinland Bundestag about an additional embargo exception. However goods like deuterium shouldn't be transported to Freeport 2.

Guten Tag, Mr. Schulz,
I gave orders to captain Reynard Leonardo Gull, captain of the [TAZ]Eristic.Escalation to report to either Alster or Oder shipyard at your orders. I informed him to do so with an empty ship and await Rheinland authorities. I am including the orders I sent him for your own files:
Quote:I must say this is a first for me but it must be done or all of TAZ may suffer.
You will find an envelope on your desk with some orders. You are ordered to fly to Rheinland in the: [TAZ]Eristic.Escalation and report to either Alster Shipyard or Oder Shipyard. As that ship does not have clearance for docking, you will moor next to the base and await official authorities who will clear logs and records of your being in restricted space. You will also be assessed a fine of 26 million credits. Failure to do so will result in you being added to the Rheinland Criminal database to which you will be shot on sight in the future and relations between Rheinland and TAZ will be strained. You have one week in which to report to the Rheinland authorities.
Those were a re-word of our discussions but covers them well I think. I also amended one thing of what you requested:
Quote:You will report IMMEDIATELY to the Rheinland authorities with an empty cargo hold. A full apology will be issued as well for your actions.
Once you are finished with him, he will return to Baffin where I will deal with him.
So as you can see, I agree with your sanction against him and will not interfere in any way. He will pay the fine and, if it is wished by Rheinland, I will pay one from TAZ as a faction. I enjoy my business dealings with Rheinland and I also enjoy my trips there to Baden Baden, where Mrs. Holliday and I honeymooned, and an occasional trip for skiing to New Berlin.
I will keep this channel open and I will have my shuttle ready should my presence be required.
Yours in Eris,
Dr. John Henry Holliday

Kallisti, Sir,
It has been three days since I sent orders to captain Reynard Leonardo Gull, captain of the [TAZ]Eristic.Escalation. To this point, I've heard nothing from him. He's not in his quarters, his ship isn't on it's mooring nor can we find it in space. He must have shut his transponder off.
If he doesn't respond, I will report to Rheinland myself in his place. I don't have the information for you to erase from memory but I can at least answer on the behalf of TAZ.

Kallisti Mein Herr!
I'm hereby want to share information about the procedure.
I was escorted by [RM] high ranked officers. I've entered in Frankfurt, and as soon as they have arrived we have started our route to New Berlin. My ship successfully arrived at the desired location, Oder Shipyard, and is standing by for further orders. Every computer is unlocked for the moment and are ready to delete restricted informations.
Also, I would like to share some data about each step. Please check them.

Sehr geehrter Dr. Holliday, sehr geehrter Herr Gull,
according to my information, giving from the employees at Oder, your log was successfully cleared.
In the abstract this problem is now solved, but there is one more point, which I mentioned:
Quote:The captain will be exchanged and maybe command another ship.
This was essential for the solution. We (and you) cannot ensure, there was noone recording the ship.
We haven't found another ship in the scanner logs, but this means nothing. As you maybe know, the Alsterfeld in Hamburg, which located the other side for the Frankfurt jumphole, is often patroled by Unioner ships. If they now capture the [TAZ]Eristic.Escalation and don't find anything in the scanner logs - what do you think, from what (or better who) they'll try to get information as next?! Right, from Herrn Gull.
Of course he said he won't tell anyone anything about the passing through, but you cannot ensure the promise if they use torture and drugs.
And I'm sure, if they got what they wanted, Herr Gull would be killed.
This is one of the reasons, why restricted areas should be avoided!
So for your safety and our security: Exchange the captain, give Herrn Gull another ship if it is requiered.
(Of course there is no reason we need to know the new callsign.)

Herr Schulz,
I can assure you that the ship will be decommissioned, it'll be renovated, our technicians will do necessary modifications. As for me, I will take a different ship for myself, I've appointed a new captain for the vessel along with a new crew. They will board the ship after she gets a new name and other administrative matters will be done.
Thank you for your patience sir, and next time I visit Rheinland, I make sure nothing illegal will happen, concerning me, of course.
Good day Sir,

Sehr geehrter Herr Gull,
I'm pleased to hear this.
I think we finished the solution now.
You may leave Rheinland again to get your new ship.
