i am afraid that i have gone about doing my business involving nomads in the wrong way considering i never had the order inspect my ship or current operating systems.
i would like to obtain expressed permission from the order to supply the scientific needs of scientists sirius wide who are doing nomad research.
i am will to submit my self to testing so as to make sure i am not infected in any way, or form.
i also currently have a zoner jinkusu jugernaught under construction that is having one of the biodomes modified with the latest stasis chamber tech to house nomads and the like and upon compleation am willing to submit the ship to inspection.
IF upon succesful completion of testing and inspection you deem me uninfected and capable of nomad transportation i would request to be allowed to sell and solicite the following nomad related services:
1)supply of nomad brains to authorized parties
2)escorting of authorized parties into nomad space
"We've been suspicious of your activities for quite some time now. As you can well imagine, any individual not registered as a member of The Order who makes frequent trips into hostile Nomad space and always seems to return unscathed is a point of unrest for The Order, as the only individuals who tend to make those trips are The Wild and known Spectres, agents of the Nomads themselves."
"That you come to us asking for our 'permission' is a good sign, but your activities still leave us with many questions. Most importantly: who do you sell these specimens to? Obviously, you've recently attempted to sell numerous samples to the Independent Miner's Guild R&D division, which we advised them against. Obviously we cannot have an individual such as yourself supplying potentially hostile parties - or those with a less than straight moral compass - with sensitive Nomad materials and technology, as such an action would prove extremely dangerous not only for The Order but for anyone else that those individuals happened to come into contact with after obtaining such items."
"You should be aware that the three IMG R&D vessels which are currently permitted by The Order to carry Nomad specimens were all outfitted with up-to-date Nomad containment systems, provided at cost to the Order Science Division and installed by my personal engineering staff. Those vessels are all relatively small, as well, including one freighter, one gunship, and one heavy transport. To equip a vessel the size of a Jinkusu with the same technology would be drastically more expensive."
"If you wish to be given the same privileges as those vessels, you must be willing to meet the following requirements:"
1. A full inspection of your ship must be made by OSD personnel.
2. A psychological evaluation of yourself and your crewmen, including background checks, must be undertaken and approved by Order personnel.
3. You must agree to never barter your specimens to any enemies of The Order.
4. You must provide the Order Science Division with payment for the installation of our Nomad containment systems onboard your ship.
"The smaller IMG R&D vessels only required a single containment cell per vessel, at the cost of 20 million credits each. Your 'business', and it's vastly larger containment requirements, would of course cost a great deal more, however if you agree to the above I will have my engineers work out the exact cost of installation on the Jinkusu."
as for the terms i have no problems with and the construction of my jinkusu is due to be completed by tomorrow.
i will be avalible anytime after (possibly before) 1 PM pasific tera time -8 and request that the inspection be crarried out at Free Port 11 however if OSD deems it nesassary i can go where the OSD would like the inspection to take place.
i also assume that the order would not like me to sell to parties with non-order approved containment systems
"Very well, we will need to schedule a time to perform the inspections, I will have the Order database begin background and psychological checks on you and your crewmen in the meantime. My engineers have calculated the maximum carrying capacity of a Jinkusu class vessel, compared to the carrying capacity of the IMG vessels we previously equipped with Nomad containment systems, and they have come to the conclusion that no fewer than 9 containment cells are required to meet your 'business' needs. At the price of 20 million credits each, that totals a required payment of 180 million sirius credits to install the proper containment systems onboard your vessel before we can allow you to legally continue collecting and exchanging Nomad specimens."
"If that price is agreeable, I will have a team of engineers sent to Freeport 11 to begin the necessary modifications."
"We're only charging the cost of the equipment itself, and keep in mind that it is far less expensive in the long run than losing your ship to an unfortunate encounter with the Order. I will have our engineers proceed with the installation, they will inspect the ship at the same time so that neither of us is held up any longer than is necessary."
"Payment for the equipment can be submitted to the general OSD account onboard the OSD|Bastet at your soonest convenience."
"My engineers report that the equipment installation is nearing completion now. Please be advised that we will monitor the activities of your ship and crew, and if we find any dealings with parties which are hostile to the order or might otherwise abuse nomad specimens or technology for personal gain, we will shut your business down for good. I'm giving you a chance against the preferred judgement of many members within the Order, do not let it go to waste."
