Of course you can

Note that using the Pirate Train means you cannot land on any lawful bases as it makes you too visible to the authorities.

Good luck !

The server won't prevent you from doing it if that's what you mean. If your rep sucks then the planet will refuse your request. Also, pirate transport is illegal to operate in Liberty (maybe others) so the RP layer might result in your ship being exploded when you get near a planet

Actually no. You'll be able to dock, but you'll be breaking a rule.

http://discoverygc.com/wiki/index.php/Smuggler_ID

Quote:Smuggler ID

Pilot carrying this ID is an independent Smuggler of the Sirius sector, who :
  • Can trade and escort smugglers
  • Cannot attack anyone except in self defense or to defend the vessel they are escorting,
  • Cannot ally with any lawfuls
  • Cannot fulfill bounty contracts
  • Cannot pirate
  • Cannot use any ship with more than 3,800 cargo space, except for the Pirate Train

  • Cannot land on any lawful bases when using the Pirate Train
Allowed ships: Fighters, Freighters, Transports

Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime. Note that using the Pirate Train means you cannot land on any lawful bases as it makes you too visible to the authorities.

Thats what i was asking about thanks. I guess if i want a smuggler to land on a lawful base I'll need a civillian or borderworld transport.

Yes, using a transport that screams "I'M UNLAWFUL" isn't a good idea if you're trying to smuggle things unbeknownst to the authorities...

No you are not allowed to do so.

There should be no way you can dock on lawful bases with a clearly unlawful ship.

Even without referring to any unlawful ship (rules-wise he can dock with bacatrian and pirate transport), you can't dock on any lawful base with the pirate train when you use smuggler ID.
