Scumbag is the name, most of the time it suits me.
I first have to congratulate the dev team of this mod, you are very good, it was a nice surprise for me.
Second, i find myself in need of some advice, i think i know the basics, from the vanilla game and form what i have read on the forum. But, i'm not enjoing the game at it's potential, i have little to no clue of roleplaying, and the lore is too vast for my limited time and patience. So, if anyone can give me some pointers, other than those in tutorials and anwser me some of these questions:
1. I'd like to play the game in a fighter, small, agile and powerfull, what are my options?
2. Given the above, what factions suit me best?
3. How do i get as much PVP with that?
4. Considering the new update, what should i do in order to get involved in as many events as possible?
1. Eagle, Sabre are good options here
2. You probalby want o be in a PvP oriented faction or in a faction including a lot of PvP, navys or Outcast (random example) fight a lot.
3. Connecticut, if you dont mind to fight ooRPly, inRPly you can go into the Taus and Omicron home systems. Liberty and Bretonia are good options, too
4.I have no idea, sorry
Welcome to the asylum. It's good to see some promising individuals joining.
If you're too impatient to read or study a particular lore, don't rush yourself, take it easy, observe the more seasoned players, and in time you'll get the hang of it. It's just a matter of time. However, reading the server rules is a must, even though you lack patience, try to read and understand them and all will be well.
1. Check the Wiki, compare the stats and/or reviews to choose something that suits your style of roleplay best. I personally recommend either the Raven's Talon or the Eagle, both being good ships for beginners.
2. If the PVP side of this game appeals to you more, I'd suggest joining a House military that is currently engaged in a war. I.E - The Rheinland Military, or the Liberty Navy. These factions often collide on the outskirts of their territories, and sometimes even in their home systems as well (Which is illogical and silly, but hey, whatever rows their boat).
3. Look at number 2. Try to participate in events, and you're likely to be summoned to random raids by the players of your faction. You can refuse or play along, it'll be fun at first, but I think the lack of depth will make you forget about that after some time.
4. Join an official faction. Official factions will get into a lot of events prior to the new release, at least that's what I've gathered in this frenzy.
Anyway, again, welcome, take it easy and have a good time.
The easiest way to learn to Roleplay, from experience, is listen to any kind of music that sparks your imagination. For example, I myself listen to movie trailer music. Helps me to write.
Read others stories when you get the time. Watch how they write, how they articulate what they're trying to get across, to you, the reader.
Watch others in game as they Roleplay. Get involved, and just have a good time with it!
As for making money, the most fun thing to do, in my personal opinion, is smuggle. You have plenty of opportunities to Roleplay with law enforcement (or blow them up, your choice;)). I'd wait until you've got a little more skill with PvP though, some of them coppers are pretty good shots.;)
If you've got any questions, feel free to send me a PM or post anywhere on the forum. We've got plenty of people willing to help!
A PvP lover, I like I like. Whats up man, I suggest joining a Pirate group. Outcasts/Corsairs/Hessians are all good choices. Use their faction fighter along with their weapons, start pirating, and enjoy;)
Learning how to RP can be tough, but pretty much, speak like you ARE your character ingame, see what others do, and you'll slowly get better no doubt.
As for events, best to apply to an official faction (IMG/GRN/Brigands/Council would work).
