Some help here needed

I am a trader. I wont excuse myself for that. I make money and i do RP - as long as it stays reasonable.

Now, I am pirated from time to time. Happens, is ok, most often even pretty good roleplay.

Then this happened: I was being pirated, i stopped, they wanted money, i told them i would give them what I had - which was considerably less than they wanted. I offered to fill their cargo holds with my goods - they refused. I offered to give them money as soon as i had some - refused. They forced me to drop my load - I did and destroyed it ( it was my ruin one way or another, so my char decided to do it).

Guess what happened? they stalled me there for 20 minutes... i could not do anything at all.

My question - is this OOC or PvP abuse? Honestly, 20 minutes not being able to do anything at all is not fun and I really cant see any point in it other than to piss me off...

Help wanted... I dont mind loosing a load of goods now and then and giving money to pirates... but being stalled for such a long time... thats just pure bull****.

They didnt allow me to get away... not trade lanes (naturally) not cruise speed... they just positioned around me and made sure i could not get away. No demands, nothing... just the annoncement to have "some fun with me"...

Erm, to put it clear. To destroy your ship, they should make a demand. (if they don't have a special ID like Coalition, of course).
Although rules do not prohibit the use of cruise disruptors on a ship (unless special cases like with civilian ID). If dropping cargo was their only demand, they couldn't attack you afterwards.

P.S.

They forced me to drop my load - I did and destroyed it ( it was my ruin one way or another, so my char decided to do it).

And why didn't you take off ? You had multiple options :

1. Stay and "have fun with them"
-this would be the most correct RP choice, since a real pilot would value his life/crew

2. Attempt to fight them off
-this would also be a correct RP choice, since many pilots/crews can be brave enough
-however i think it's a bit forced, considering you were a trader after all

3. Attempt to simply flee
-this would be quite an OORP attitude, since it would have probably led to the destruction of your ship


Hell i can think of even more options, but i'm too lazy.

Point is, they did not kill me. They just made sure i could not do anything for 20 minutes. I would never say anything if they just shot me after I destroyed the ore... it is the fact that they stalled me after I shot the ore that pisses me off.

Why not just thrust away to a base? If you can't do that. Get them to fire on you, say something nasty about their mothers, whatever, get yourself destroyed and don't do the same route until they are gone.

I tried to RP with them, however, when i did not pay what they wanted (because i simply did not have the cash), they stopped with everything, only telling me they would have "some fun" with me... which led to me sitting there for 20 minutes until another trader came along whom they forced to shoot me. While this measure may even be an interesting RP element, me diddling around for 20 minutes doing nothing is not.

2. I tried. After negotiations did not lead to anything, i tried to make a run for it. Did not work, but they did not kill me but left me sitting there with 1 red left.

3. tried... they just made sure I could not.

Anything would have been ok, but simply letting me sit there forever?
