Glendale Base

Greetings gentlemen,
i was wondering about gaian's base named in the topic title. I recently rebuild my old corsair character to the gaian one. After som initial exploration of gaian ZOI i decided to fly to glendale base. When i go there, i was quite shocked to see that there is nothing, what could bring any of good to people who fly there.

No ships, no proper equipment which is buyable only there (not sure through). It is possible to buy battleships' weaponry there but it has no sense since the biggest ship available to gaian is their gunship.

So here is my question: is it meant to be like that or is it just something, that wasn't finished yet?

Must say that now i am not very fond of .86 any more. i am curious at the moment where will bases be situated and how could these changes affect RP of this faction.

I know that on the surface it seems like the gaians are getting shafted (& inRP, they are) but if you could only see what I see, you'd see that this is the beginning of the Gaians most interesting time.

& damn, if only I had the time right now to type a few reasons why this is true...but, I'll just have to get on doing that later today w/ a bump:yes:

By the way, what will happen with Planet Gaia in 4.86? As far as I know, the gaians main goal to defend the fauna on planet Gaia. If their ZOI will be in another system, that will be a little bit complicated...

We still hold Islay, & the planet ain't moving so what about Gaia?

Personally, I have a substantial dislike for the common 'for gaia' train of thought & I've never played a gaian that way. So in my mind, it's a non-issue

Yup, looks like gaian RP will be overhauled.

With moving gaian ZOI keeping that base looks interesting (or useless).

Personally I focused on Gaia in my gaian RP, maybe was a mistake, but as far as I realised that is the gaians main goal. I mean the reason to force the Planetform and the OSC to leave the planet "alone".

I didnt know that Islay will be available in the 4.86.

Canon freelancer NPC Gaians main goal isn't about Planet Gaia. It was the original ideal in which Gaians were formed but lore is very specific about Gaians losing their way and becoming pirates. NLH (now Underloch) was a non-canon Gaian faction that kept the original ideals alive with Planet Gaia as the focal point of their main goal. This change doesn't affect NPC Gaian lore but yeah it will require some changes to player RP.

Edit add: I myself was a non-pirating Gaian that stayed true to original goals of the Green Front.
