Subject: Trade Licences
Bonjour,
First of all, thank you for finally replying. I understand that bureaucracy can be complicated and that, especially during Holidays, paperwork can be slower.
I've opened this channel to discuss about our licence request, as you seem to have a question or two to ask us beforehand. La Famille is at your disposal to answer you any kind of questions you may have concerning it.
I am relieved to finally have found the time to contact you. As you are no doubt aware the Royal Police is currently suffering from an exceedingly large workload, perhaps larger than anything we have dealt with before. Sirian warships are seemingly exploring Gallic space at will and crime in the core worlds is at record levels.
To the topic at hand. While I am honoured that la famille is willing to go through the proper channels to request trade permits from the Royal Police; it amuses me that you would even think for a moment that it was necessary for you to do so. I could never expect a respectable organisation such as la famille to pay for rights that you undoubtedly deserve.
There is however the matter of the... slightly less legal cargo that you may, on occasion, need to transport from A to B. While the Gallic Royal Police does not condone the shipping of contraband throughout Gallia. We may be willing to afford la famille the privilege of 'looking the other way' were the right leverage to be provided.

Bonjour Miss Laroux,
I am glad to receive your reply, but also troubled to hear these bad news concerning the Sirians.
I would like to show our gratitude for your more liberal policy regarding the things our vessels cargo holds contain.
So please let me offer you our help in getting rid of this Sirian dirt in exchange, they keep coming into our beloved Kingdom even though they have no business here.
I am sure our assistance in this issue could reduce the amount of work you have to deal with by a great amount, so that you can take care of the more important problems like the Maquis or these treacherous Legionaires.

I think we have a deal, this arrangement will be beneficial to us both. I look forward to cooperating with la famille and coordinating our efforts.
May this be the start of a prosperous relationship.
