I was in a conversation with a friend on skype, when he asked me the origins of 'death runner.' I told him about the 'runner' part, because i usually ended up escaping liberty lawfuls back in 4.84.
Then i remembered something i thought was cool. The lawfuls brought people to that jail in texas, i think sugar something.. They actually said, "ok, lets go take you to jail." There was no pvp.. It was, lets go to jail! And of course i'd say "ok ok you caught me" then on the way i'd pull some weird-ass stunt, maybe involve some other pirates and all that..
I just think it's interesting, how times have changed. Now a'days your ass is gone if you're caught pirating in a falcata. xD
I remember that happening to me. I was in my The.False.Miner Hegemon, got caught pirating and was like "Okay okay, I'll go to prison! I give up!" And then some 3 LPI/LN mix snubs took me to Texas, on the last lane it got disrupted by like 4-5 LR-/indie rogues. I don't remember the exact build up to my destruction but I think the Rogues and Police agreed to kill me together since I pissed both off. For pirating lawfuls, and pirating on Rogue turf. Was funny. :P
Anyone else remember the day we LPI captured an outcast destroyer and brought the entire crew to Sugarland.. then impounded that destroyer in Illinois... should still be there:P
Iâll carry this flag
To the grave if I must
Because itâs flag that I love
And a flag that I trust

That's fantastic RP for a Police/Navy Outcast Destroyer =P
Now that the tech chart is void and all.
Interesting things happen when freedom is given.
Police factions can be interesting.
When you know, people actually play them.
I see BPA and LPI, but rarely RFP and NEVER - ever - KSP...
It's sad really, they did get the trade lane system didnt they?
