So...We all know that the projectile speed of your guns should be as close as possible to each other, in order to gain an accurate aiming reticule, right? Now, the question that has bothered me ever since...

If you combine different speeds, does Freelancer calculate an average to position the reticule or does it simply use the fastest gun to position it?

It seems to average the speed of each of your guns, from what I can tell.

So if you're mounting, say, one 650 m/s gun and one 750 m/s gun (and nothing else), the reticule will adjust for 700 m/s.

And that's why if you want to rely on the reticule, you need guns with matching speeds or as close to it as possible.
