The second to last beta update for Discovery Freelancer 4.86 is about to hit the update servers. Restart your Freelancer to automatically update. If you are behind a proxy, need to manually update or do not have Discovery Freelancer 4.86 installed then see the section at the end of this post.

Our focus in the last 2 weeks has been on server and client stability and we have almost reached our stability targets.

There are a minimum of 126 issues fixed or enhancements added in this update. I'm certain that I've missed some from the change log but for what we have recorded, please see the readme.txt in your Freelancer directory.

The highlights are:
- NPC spawns and encounters fixed in many systems and a lot of old bugs fixed. This issue is not completely resolved and we know there are invalid spawns in some systems.
- Infocard updates everywhere (including IDs).
- Fixes to stop /renameme, /movechar and /restart killing the server - repeatedly.
- Broken ship dealers fixed in many systems.
- Missions added for Kusari Exiles.
- Single player console and contact list ship filter added.
- Undocking and docking issues fixed in many bases.
- Model and hardpoint updates for various miner issues.
- Equipment and ship purchase point corrections.
- Turret zoom is disabled for small ships. Turret steer and the camera are now independent of each other.
- Lots of bug fixes.

We think we will have one more beta release and then release 4.86 final. It seems that the major stability issues are understood and the team is able to get back to completing the few unfinished items for 4.86. The next beta release is due in a week and 4.86 final will probably be a week after that.

Your fault reports have been helpful, please keep doing them. We're about to lock all of the existing bug report threads and create new ones for the remaining issues. We are also going to make an effort to complete documentation for various new features -- we're working on it.

If you are a server operator and are not in contact with other Discovery server operators, please post in the Other Servers section of this forum to obtain help or go to http://the-starport.net. NOTE: the flhook.dll and dsacesrv.dll included with update3 are broken, please use
http://discoverygc.com/files/dsacesrv.dll and http://discoverygc.com/files/FLHook.dll. The first one fixes random turret zoom disable and the second fixes broken renames and movechars.

Junker ID says it allows the Pilgrim Liner. Does this mean the Slave Liner has finally been renamed?

That "mouse thing" was a report specific to your own machine, Stewcool. I strongly suspect you need to either reinstall the game, or check what else you have running in the background. It wasn't addressed as a bug to the module.

I wonder, why this change is made? I like using turret zoom on fighters, you can get pretty nice snapshots.

It was reinstalled even with another re download of the mod. Its only the game that has the issue and I had a mod and admin help me and both couldnt fix that problem with installs. Nothing runs in the background on my computer that would affect my cursor.
